JJackKrash's Training/Ski Log

Happy Easter, everyone!

Ok, so, my hips feel roasted from the Sumo deadlifts Yesterday. I am not sure what to think about those, other than I obviously need to do more of them.

On other news, we finally got my house in Dallas under contract. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we can get it closed. Some lucky couple got a great freaking deal on a beautiful piece of property.

Happy Easter to you!

Good to hear the house is moving. Best wishes.

You pulled some pretty heavy sumo’s for just experimenting, no wonder the hips are fried.
Scott has some pretty good tips on sumo’s. I like the feel having my feet flared about 30 degrees and pushing the floor apart with my heels.

Great work, Jack. Cleans and Sumos? Folks are experimenting all over the place. Must be Spring.
Glad to hear that the house is contracted. I know that wil be a burden lifted.

Here’s hopin’ for a clean and rapid closing!

All should be so lucky…

I hope the closing goes well for you, buying/selling a house is a pain in the ass.

Nice work Jack!!
some big weights moving. Good luck on the house.

How far do you put your hands-for front squats?
after watching some of Carls videos I put my hands further out on the bar.

Elbows up. I somehow jam the bar in my adams apple.

Nice training Jack. I like the cleans thrown in there.

Thanks guys, for the well wishes. Kevin, on front squats, I cross my hands and raise my elbows as high as I can get them. I have not tried them with an Oly-style hand position. In other words, my left hand is on the right side of the bar, and my right hand is on the left side of the bar.

On other news, Jumping Jack Krash made it to 41 today. I am still here, screaming and kicking. I wanted to thank everyone here for helping me get through another year.

Jack

Happy Birthday! Hope you have AT LEAST another 41 good years in you!

Jack hope you have a great year, happy birthday.

genie style is fine-- its elbows up that seem to help me the most.

happy bday

Happy bday man, now go celebrate in style.

Happy birthday! I hope 41 is a great year for you.

Thanks guys!

Squat/Bench/Deload/Explosive day

Squats: 45 x 10, 135 x 10, Jump Squats 185 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3.

Bench: 45 x 30, 135 x15, 185 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (slow down, explode up).

Standing Broad Jumps: sets of 5, 5, 5, 5, 5.

Lat Pulldowns: 15) x 15.

Cable Rows: 150 x 15.

Notes: Fun day, I combined my bench and squat deload day because of my schedule. I actually got a pretty good pant going, I took only a little rest between sets and then got the heel out.

Hapy Buff Day Jack

Happy birthday! 41? Let’s see, yea, I have a vague recollection of that one. Hope you enjoyed it and have a great year.
