Has anyone used the Jesup Power Bar? Do you think it could handle 700+lb deadlifts and squats without bending?
Yes. Assuming you are not going to be dropping the bar on the pins all the time it should work for you with those weights. There have been multiple posts on this bar over the years here and on other forums. It ranks as a good bar for general lifting and has served many well, much like the Texas power bar and it’s tough to beat at $165. I knew a few forum buddies on Iron trybe that squatted well into the 800’s and this was the bar they used in training. Keep in mind it is 1 1/4" diameter so it’ll be larger than a deadlift bar of course, if you care about that kind of thing.

I’m sorry, what did you say? I couldn’t stop watching your avatar long enough to read your response lol
That’s great to hear! I’ve heard a lot of people complain about it being too thick or the collars not spinning enough but that’s not really my concern at all. I just want a barbell that isn’t going to bend when I train with it. The one I use now looks like a fucking horseshoe. Thanks for your answer.
