Jeremy Lin

Never thought I’d see an Asian guy playing point guard in the NBA, let alone being successfull, but it’s pretty cool. Lots of turnovers and can’t play D, but thoughts?

All NBA talk is relegated to the NBA Lockout thread.

Everybody knows that the only reason he stands out at all is because he’s Asian. Black people do what he does every night but don’t get the same praise.

Kill Whitey?

Bah, fuckit.

It’s been fun to watch, especially his game winner last night. I liken it to the Mark Fidrich phenomenon back in the 70’s.

Nobody knew who he was, now seems everyone knows who he is.

For him to take that shot last night took stones and it paid off. Good for him.

Nobody in the history of basketball has had a beginning like Lin has. Others may be doing it, but not from day 1.

I’m in Taiwan so he’s on the front of the paper a lot.

The worst thing is all the bad puns with his name. On CNN they showed the papers and one said “On a Lin and Prayer” Ugh, that’s just stupid.

I’d imagine he stands out because he’s scored 27, 20, and 38 in his last three games, has been looked over by two or three other teams and was 3 days away from being cut from the Knicks. His story is phenomenal

He’s sarcastically quoting the ignoramus known as Mayweather Jr.

For reference, Mayweather is significantly higher on the ignoramus scale than Kanye West who very close to Bill OReilly.

Gotcha, the only time I really pay attention to Mayweather is when there’s a chance he’ll fight Manny Pac.

Damn ignoramii

Mayweather oughta stop worrying about one Asian guy playing basketball and get ready to get his ass kicked by another.

We’ve been talking about him for like 5 pages in the NBA thread, feel free to weigh in

That’s if Manny doesn’t retire.
