Right now I’m finishing week 4 of my stasis and I’m doing great. I’ve dropped the volume considerably but my strength and energy is still good, and my bodyweight is 238 lbs. My partner says he thinks I’m still “pinning”, lol…

Specifically JR how does your strength compare now to the last two weeks you were on tren? Could you still 20 that 315 now?
Sapasion,
Definitely keep us up to date with the tren-enanthate experience. I had a thought right now, next time we all should get organized and run the same cycle at the same time, then we could log our results/experiences all together in the same thread (kind of like the study Bushy did with Tone/Cadav/Dave/etc.). Something to think about down the road, maybe I’ll make a thread to discuss this later.
Regarding my strength, I haven’t done much max. effort work for about a month now, so I’m not too sure where I’m at with my 1RM numbers. I changed around my routine for my PCT. I’m only training once a day right now, Dan John stuff- Litvinovs, OL, sled dragging, then I jump in the ocean and try to swim for as long as I can stand it (1-2 min. lol… the Pacific is pretty fucking cold right now). I just deadlifted 495 for 3 reps last week, and I was doing snatches this morning with 215 for 3 reps and overhead squatting it for 5 reps, so I’m probably still somewhat close to what I was doing in week 8. I FEEL like I could still hit the 20 x 315, but I don’t think I’m going to test it until my PCT is over.

This does sound like a cool idea, JR. I’d definitely be up for it. Of course, if I were going to participate, it wouldn’t be able to happen for 7-8 months, so maybe I couldn’t. Either way, it would be a cool thread to follow.
I’m also eager to follow a log of your tren experience, sapasion.

What would be tough about that should I choose to do it is posting pictures of videos. I have tried to guard against images of self, given the nature of my work. Then again if I actually take a shot at breaking the state bench press record then I guess all cats will be out of their bags.
Might just have to settle for the typed commentary sans the pictures.
I don’t even have my stuff yet so it will be awhile yet.

Just a thought, but why not have your video man directly behind you so that your face is not visible. Of course then again, there might be a mirror in front of you, who knows.
Along with that, you could wear a t shirt with no lettering and standard one color pants… just a thought.
Of course then again, if you have tattoos like mine that are highly recognizable, you might want to avoid it, or wrap them up.
Videos are always a plus. I would have posted some of mine, but my poor ass does not have a video camera and quite frankly, see no point in getting one. The only time I ever record something is when I’m hunting and I have several buddies who do that for their career…

Cortes, 8 months from now would work for me too. I know it’s a long ways off, but that just means we have alot more time for ideas and planning.
I’m into week 5 of my PCT now, the 4 weeks of stasis have gone really well. My bodyweight is still 237-238, and I feel great in every other department, my strength, energy, mood, and libido are all good. I believe this is because I’ve dropped the volume and intensity of my training down to a level more in line with being off AAS. My recovery from workouts is good too, a little bit of DOMS now.
I’ve got a whole pile of creatine, ZMA, TRIBEX, and REZ-V I stocked up on when Biotest had that buy-2-get-1-free sale awhile back, so I’ll be adding that into my PCT soon. Not sure if I should start now, or wait until my last week. What do you guys think?

Well, if that is really the time frame, then let’s stay in touch and possibly plan something on down the road. I’m definitely game.

Very cool, I’ll PM you some ideas we can bash back and forth.
Sounds like a party. I don’t know about 8 months from now but during May I plan to start my own tren test love fest. I will be using some dbol too but the point remains the same. Unlike most guys planning these trenner’s I’m purely in it for the strength increases and not the comestic changes.

Well, when I get around to starting a thread for this down-the-road group experiment, I’d like to hear more from you regarding your training for strength, since I might try just weight-lifting for the cycle without any sportfight-training.
Halfway into week 5 of my PCT, 80mg of test-enanthate split into 2 shots of 40mg on Monday and Thursday. Last night and this morning my testicles have that “achy” feeling, meaning that my natural testosterone is coming back on-line. Seems like a little faster than my first cycle’s PCT, maybe because I started taking TRIBEX and Rez-V this week. Either way, the taper seems to be going according to plan, I feel perfectly fine.
I’m enjoying the reduced training workload actually, as there’s been a lot of family events going on for me this time of year, birthdays and gatherings and whatnot, and I’m not trying to fit my training in around them. My diet’s stayed pretty much the same except a slice or two of birthday cake now and then. But I’ve been trying to slowly cut bread out of my diet, so hopefully by this summer I’ll have weaned myself off.
Week 6 of PCT is the same as week 5. My nuts are aching a little more as they wake up from their hibernation, and my mood is even-keeled.
Last Friday night I went to the gym, just to do some small rehabilitative stuff and extra neck/grip work. Some bodybuilder friends there, and they were all asking me what I on, lol… so my ego had a nice little boost. I explained the test-taper to them and they seemed more interested now that there was some visual proof in front of them. Keeping your muscle/strength is the best argument.
And this morning I deadlifted 495 x 3 reps without struggling, so I’m still good there.
JR would it be fair to say you’ve maintained or had the ever so slightest dip in strenght since coming off? Or put another way, does it seem you have made no forward progress in terms of strength?

Definitely I’m not as strong. I’d guess, and say that my strength is 80-85% of what it was when I was on. And I’m good with that, because my 1RM (estimated) is substantially improved from prior to my cycle.
December 2007, my 1RM bench press was 285 , squat 405, and deadlift 495. Now, May 2008, 6 weeks into my PCT, I BP 285 x 3-4 reps, squat 405 x 5-6 reps, and DL 495 x 3-4 reps. So, not as strong as when I was on cycle, but not too bad considering I only lift twice a week to supplement my grappling training.
I’m expecting to make some small progress strength-wise once my PCT is over and my body’s natural hormones are back to normal, because I’ll start training harder again. I’m thinking of my 8 weeks of PCT as “maintenance” time, to work on stretching and technique.
