Jelly's Test/Tren Cycle

I’m not jelly but I’d like a crack at this one myself. I think the reason bodybuilder types get into problems [i.e. muscle and tendon tears, esp. on Tren et al] is that their bodies are not used to maximal stress. They spend so much time doing whatever you wanna call it 6-15 reps lets say. For me as a powerlifter, the fact I’m doing not only max effort work weekly but also work for a limited range with supra maximal weights prepares me much better for when I start Tren and within 3 weeks I’m handling 50lbs more in certain lifts. Despite the massive Tren usage and the massive weights powerlifters use compared to bodybuilders look at how proportionally fewer tendon injuries powerlifters have.

In lay man’s terms if bodybuilder Joe benches with say 275 for 5 sets of 8-10 and I bench on max effort day 350, we are probably about the same strength from a certain point of view. However, I also do 2 board work with 400 and 4 board work with 450. So when Joe starts Tren a month later his muscles are capable of benching 315 for the same 8-10 reps that is a weight he is not used to. Whereas a month later when I can do 400 and 450 of a 2 board these are weights I’ve already had experience with. Not to mention the strengthening and conditioning to the tendons specifically which occurs from doing weekly max effort training.

Sorry if that seemed like a rant [/quote]

Aragorn, I didn’t have any tendon problems for the 12 weeks. Whenever the weight got too heavy for me it just wouldn’t move, lol… it’d go down but it wouldn’t come up. I also worked within the 3RM range. Most injuries I get seem to come from my judo training (grappling and kick-boxing not so much).

I think Sapasion’s theory matches up with what I’ve seen and experienced in the gym too. For example, two bodybuilders I know injured their hamstrings/back while on a similar cycle to mine, and with less weight than I was putting up. They’re always amazed at what I lift without any belt/wraps/straps, and they attribute this to my olympic lifting background.

Actually, I think that’s the most logical explanation of the effect I’ve read. Nicely done.

Are you waiting to post some of your, well, post cycle lift numbers? I’m always floored with the amounts you’re able to throw around.

Sapasion and Jelly Roll, thanks for the answers both. That makes total sense to me.

Yeah, it makes for a better story that way. I don’t want to give away the ending…

Speaking of lifts…

Week 4,
After only 3 weeks on, and heading into the 4th, I started hitting doubles with my previous PR’s in the squat and deadlift, and a triple with my bench press. And I was very happy.

But the funny thing I noticed, is that I’d make the first rep easy, and the second one the same thing, no problem. In my head I’m thinking, I could probably get 6 or 7 of these, sweet. Then I’d go down for my third rep, and the bar wouldn’t even budge, no partial rep, no struggle, no nothing. It was like my muscles only fired at 100% and that was it, shut it down. I’d rest a couple minutes and do the same thing the next set, 1-2-nothing. And this would go on for 7 or 8 sets.

Now I don’t know if this is something that happens to other people on tren-ace, or maybe it was just my body’s weird way of processing it, or maybe it has something to do with my training. I thought maybe it might be tren-related because it stopped after I finished it on the eigth week. Either way, it was strange to me and I thought it was worth mentioning.

Also, this week was when I started to notice the decline in my appetite. I’d have my two protein shakes in the morning (5:30 and 7:00), and a big breakfast (8:00), then at 10:00 I’d normally have some yogurt and a sandwich, but my stomach felt like it was still digesting breakfast. So I’d skip the 10:00 meal and by lunchtime I was hungry again, great, I eat. After that though, I had to force it down for the rest of the day, because I did not feel hungry again. And this was to be the pattern for the next 5 weeks.

Looking in the mirror, my physical appearance seemed to be getting drier and harder. My bodyweight was still around 235-ish, but I looked bigger. It’s like the fat was being replaced by muscle.

Oh yeah, I got my wife pregnant around this time too. Normally we use a condom, but one morning we were in the shower and that was all it took…

interesting posts, keep em coming.sounds like your cycle has been pretty successful so far.
i’ve just got my hands on some tren ace so might try running it like you have.

nice

Week 5,
All my PR lifts from the week before jump up another rep. I’m now doing triples with my squats and DL’s, and my bench press 4x. It feels like I’m at the apex of my cycle, like it can’t get any better than this.

I weigh 240lbs. And it’s kind of funny to say it, but it feels like a “natural” weight for me because I don’t feel bloated or muscle-bound. On my first cycle, whenever I went above 230lbs. I felt like I was too much, probably because of the extra water. With the tren, my body just felt more comfortable with the “lean bulk” I guess.

Walking around, I’m starting to see that people are looking/reacting to me differently. I’ve crossed the line from the athletic/muscular build to XL/big fucker version. I go out of my way now to be more well-mannered and polite to everyone (more so than usual).

I don’t feel any of the supposed increased aggression of trenbolone, I’m still a calm and even-keeled person.

My appetite is about the same as the week before, but I can feel it waning. I’m drinking about 2 cups of water every half hour I’m so thirsty. I could drink more but I’m scared that I’ll flush out all my vitamins/minerals, so I limit myself.

I’ve also noticed a strange pattern with regards to my sleeping. If I take a day off and don’t workout that day, I’ll toss and turn all night. It’s like I have an excess of energy, and I need to burn off the minimum or I don’t get a good night’s sleep.

I’d say drink as much water as you like, your body will use the minerals if it needs it, if not it will be rejected anyway.

Week 6,
At this point, I’m training 7 days a week, and 2x/day for 3 of those days. That’s 10 training sessions a week, or 14-15hrs. in total. Every training session turns into a competition with myself now, even on the days I’m supposed to de-load or work on technique I end up pushing up the the intensity. In other words, it’s a recipe for over-training, and I know it, but I’m loving this super-human feeling so much…

My training partner has started calling me “Unbreakable” from that Bruce Willis movie. Grappling one day, I get my thumb dislocated so far backward that it touches my wrist, and that doesn’t even slow me down, I tape it up to my index finger and keep going. The next day, it’s so weak I can’t even hold onto a glass of water. My ego is such that I still go to the gym and do deadlifts (with a strap for my left hand), 405lbs. x 10 reps.

My testicles have shrunken considerably, they’re about half their normal size.

JR, will you hurry up and post the rest dammit lol

Ok, next installment.

Week 7,
Bodyweight is staying around 240lbs. My wife took some pictures of me this week. They didn’t turn out so good, but I suck at flexing anyway, lol…

Here’s one of me trying to squeeze my back together.

Another one. The classic side-chest, I can’t even do this one right, lol…

Trying to show off my abs and huge, thick knees. My quads were 32" in these shots believe or not (but my waist was/is 38").

Damn Jelly,

I remember your first pics, and wow, what a huge difference in these. You really did it right. To me, there is a huge abundance of quality mass that you’ve put on. It looks great on you man. The difference is striking to me.

                 Fantastic.

                  ToneBone

You are a very large man. I agree with Tone, big difference in muscle “quality” compared to your last shots. Really nice work, JR.

So you’re having a similar experience to my own on tren ace then?

I also definitely experienced a very lean bulk. You look and feel the biggest you have of your life, but it’s comfortable, unlike something you get from just a high level of test. With the dry appearance, do you seem to be gaining any vascularity?

The supposed aggression I believe to be a myth. Rather, I believe certain individuals will be come more irritable while on due to the fact their sleep habits are royally fucked up for the most part. That was the case with me, and in some aspects, appears to be the same for you.

I’m not sure what it was either, but I was drinking over 2 gallons of water a day with ease myself.

So you seem to sleep better on training days then, definitely understandable. Although my question is that when you do sleep well, do you have very vivid dreams? I sure did and am wondering if I happen to be a freak or is that relatively common?

All in all, I have to say you are building quite an impressive physique. Not one of those bullshit hollywood cut up physiques either, but rather an absolute powerhouse. I can only begin to imagine the strength gains you will be making during this round. Keep up the good work bud.

You know what, World, I had forgotten that you had mentioned this before until I read it again here. I am definitely having very vivid dreams now well into week two of using tren. The dreams occur more often than usual, last much longer than usual, and are far more memorable. Not necessarily weirder (dreams are typically weird, anyway), but they seem to be “crisper” and brighter and more emotional. Good point to bring up. How about you, JR?
