OK, slightly off topic – I’ve never seen Deuce Bigalow, but dammit, now I’m gonna be walking around for days yelling “That’s a huge bitch!”, especially at the gym.

Who knew steroids could make your hands grow bigger than an adult male head? [/quote]
Obviously all the Ph.Ds in the comments section.

Yeah, my first thought when I saw this pic wasn’t “holy shit look how muscular this dude is!” It was “holy shit, that dude is a fucking giant!”
If he had the same relative muscularity on a 5’9" frame he wouldn’t be impressive at all.

Dumb question. Totally irrelevant.
It doesn’t matter if he’s on steroids. I take an assload of steroids and have for years, and I’m nowhere NEAR that size nor will I ever be. No matter how much AAS or PEDS I use.

I had the same thought. For his frame, he isn’t overly muscular. He is a decently muscled guy with the frame of a small mountain.

He is a giant human being. If he lived thousands of years ago in ancient rome we would still hear stories about him, maybe even refered to as a god. Now a’days? He plays foosball and wont even be remembered at his own position in a few years.
btw am I the only one who thinks that yolo kid is like T-nations version of Urkel only without the fanfare?

it is not a dumb question nor is it irrelevant!
the article is about how much muscle he has put on in a short time.
genetics, training or whatever played a role but not as much as the drugs did!
you then infer the comments are ignorant for pointing this out?
how in the fuck are they ignorant - they are correct!
it is so fucking ass backwards stuff like this - “oh look the stupid layman thinks it’s all cos of the roids”
er it is cos of the roids for fucks sake - MUCH moreso than the peri nutrition, ice baths, He-Man genetics or anything else
it is not “hating” to point this out btw - no shit he has better genetics/ more athleticism/ what have you than anyone mentioning drugs
but to say people mentioning drugs are somehow wrong is totally illogical
Pff hes no Zac Efron.

You should take this up with someone else. My position is that steroids cannot make a person into a giant. They can make someone who is already a giant even more giant, but then you’re talking about pretty much the same kind of PED use that is going on across the board among all elite athletes in pretty much all college and professional football programs.
Or perhaps you are implying that the three guys standing next to him are NOT using?
In other words:
Totally irrelevant.

Look I don’t want to go back and forwards either, I only want to make a very straightforward point:
In an article about how much muscle he has put on in a short period and his huge size in general - it is not REMOTELY irrelevant to bring up the fact that he is on drugs which are resulting in him gaining muscle at a SIGNIFICANTLY faster rate than if he wasn’t taking drugs. If he wasn’t taking drugs he would be nowhere near as imposing.
That’s all really. It is not denigrating him at all to say this, but it is highly relevant to the subject.

I’m confused. If we are reading the same article he gained 4lbs since last season and 12 or so since he hit the NFL. When you weigh over 300 I’m not sure if 4lbs more or less makes all the difference in how imposing you are. I don’t doubt that he’s had some pharmaceutical help, but it’s not like 4lbs is an outlandish amount of muscle to gain in a season of dedicated training either way.
As for the difference in the 2 photos, lighting, glycogen and pump can make someone look like 2 entirely different people if they have any appreciable amount of muscle mass. Some guys are just plain beasts. This guy is one of those guys, drugs or no. I know a guy who’s 6’6" and close to 400lbs. He’s a bit of a fat bastard (by his own admission) but he is a big dude. Thick neck/shoulders, barrel chest, big arms and huge calves. Guy’s fists are like lunchboxes. He doesn’t lift jack shit except engines and the only drugs he uses are cannabis based. He is plenty physically imposing I assure you.
The reason you or I are not as big as this dude has nothing to do with whether or not we are willing to use PED’s. Sorry.

The dude clearly gained more than 4 pounds of muscle, because he lost what appears to be a significant amount of fat. Math too hard.

very well said. I use, and I will never be as big as that. 99.9% of the people who use will never be as big as that. If drugs were all it took, we would ALL be as big as that.
it is not wrong to say he is using steroids, but as Cortes rightly pointed out in his other post, the guys standing next to him are using too, yet there is only one giant in the picture. How could that be the case if drugs were all it took?
Do drugs make a difference? Of course they do, a HUGE difference, but they are not the deciding factor.
