Jake's Pre-Cycle Log

Well this was a interesting to read. Jake you have a ways to go just learning what you need to do. You have already made the first big step and that was starting to listen to these Vets. You stick to this and keep on listening you will no longer feel weak and will be the strongest both mentally and phsically that you have ever been in your life. And who knows you might not even need to go on a cycle. But we all know you will anyway.

Jake, I’ve said it before, right now you just need to concentrate on cutting fat right now. Get in shape first and make sure you won’t die on cycle from the increased blood pressure and the possible repercussions, and then worry about getting bigger.

It’s a lot better to be small and weak than big and weak like you were.

Concentrate on getting as lean as possible right now. If you do that in conjunction with lifting as heavy as you can (like I’ve told you to), you’ll be plenty strong at the beginning of your cycle.

On cycle, we’ll adjust your diet to have more protein, but don’t expect to be eating 8,000 calories a day-- look where that got you last time.

World

whats your bf looking like now? Ibet it dropped quite a bit being down to 173

Jake do us all a favor and post some pics from today at 173. I’d imagine there’s got to be quite a difference in your physique from when this thread started.

Also, I’ve noticed your lifts improving, sure makes it easier when you’re carrying all sorts of fat, eh?

World

Ok, here you have it. As you can see, I am still a fat bastard. Anyways, I think a lot of you think that my previous diet that I posted (before I started following world’s advice), made me fat. This couldn’t be further from the truth. I actually lost some body fat while gaining some muscle mass with my previous diet. It seems like the more I eat, the hungrier I become.

Took some measurements tonight. Here they are:
Chest (1" above nipple line): 42.5
Waist (narrowest spot): 35.25"
Hips: 40.5"
Left arm: 14.75"
Right arm: 15"
Left thigh (1" below nuts): 23.5"
Right thigh (1" below nuts): 23.25"

Notes:
Sorry for the late reply guys. I have been very bush lately, and didn’t have a chance to post yesterday. Anyways, I will post my workout for today later tonight.

So is training still beating your ass or you actually getting accustomed to it? I’m sure your heartrate has not spiked near as high as it usually goes in certain day to day activities. Like I’ve said repeatedly, this is just to get you in shape and safely run a cycle. Don’t expect to get huge on it, just expect to get in decent shape and gain some definition.

Notes:
I am getting used to training like this. While I know the purpose of training like this is for conditioning, I feel I would be much stronger if I wasn’t getting an aerobic workout at the same time. I plan to up cardio quite a bit in the next day or so. I need to drop this body fat, no doubt.

You are supposed to be doing a half hour to an hour of morning fasted cardio everyday. Not sure if you forgot or something, but start doing it.

You certainly have made strength gains, just looking at your numbers, since your last similar session. I wonder what the heart rate was like this time after a week of this style training.

You also have definitely dropped some bodyfat, but another 10-15 lbs. of it needs to be dropped as well. Adjust your diet accordingly.

Wow. This thread has been great. What a wild man you are Jake.
I can just picture you there in your kitchen, “squaring up” your meat with a cleaver, eating it raw, hands bloody. grabbing an egg or two, tossing it straight into the blender, shell and all. maybe pour in that extra bison blood, or just shoot it straight up. paul anderson, you know… walking your dogs, rip an alien fart. I bet the strongmen of the past had farts that could kill you. paul anderson, you know… going to the gym, bands and chains and negatives everywhere, speed sets, drop sets, reverse kettlebell woodchops on a balance ball. just keeping it simple.

if you’re going to do something, you’re going to do it right, so how about we set up a basic cycle, nothing too hardcore, around 1500mg total juice per week should be about right.
i didnt think it was salvageable, really. there are just some people out there who are thinking on different tracks. some of them not only survive, but achieve superhuman results. most are hit by cars. there is no explaination.

I’m glad others had more tenacity than I though, especially world and bushido. I’m amazed this thing has turned around and jake has fixed everything wrong with his training, diet, and cycle.
This whole thread seems unreal. Maybe TC wrote it all.
It’s funny how the bros who achieve the most success become psychologists and counselors to the strangest people and achieve better behavior modification than years of therapy will do for most normal people.

So many people have taken advice from these people and not used it. It’s amazing how jake refused it so adamantly, but once he respected a few people, he’d follow their advice so well.
With all that said, I guess it’s time to go hit the iron! Good luck to you all.

          Hilarious!

Saw this earlier but forgot to post. Yep it’s one of a kind for sure.

Now ramp up that morning fasted cardio damnit Jake.
Way to help yourself by listening.

I’ll admit that I haven’t been reading for a while, so maybe it’s been stated, but when are you gonna start taking your stuff Jake?

So jake, what’s the weight down to now?

Improvements in lifts?

Two weeks till you start or so, right?

World

Yeah, I thought it was one weeks, but I guess two weeks will work. I will post my training from yesterday later today after I get through my training session for today. I haven’t checked my weight yet, but I will tomorrow. Yesterday, I did 40minutes cardio in the morning, your session, and then some interval training in the evening (for about 15 minutes). My strength is slowly getting back to where it was somewhat, but I think the reduced carbs, loss in weight, and cardio is taking some toll on my strength. I have only cheated once on my diet because I forgot to defrost some meat. I went to quiznos and got a large misquite chicken on wheat bread (no ranch double chicken). I split it up into two meals. Other than than, I would say I been 100% consistent.

Evening:
Interval training (off to do it now)

None. Since recovering on the 5th day has worked pretty well for me, I decided to take today off. I will get a BW reading for all of you tomorrow.

Looking a lot better strength wise. Now we just need you to continue improving on the strength and lean up at the same time.

Set your cycle start date for March 15 and we’ll see what all can be accomplished before then.

I was thinking, it might be better for you to try doing some rack pullups (NOT rack pulls) with added weight from now instead of the lat pulldown. Might help your development more and it’s easier to maintain your form as opposed to a wide gripped pullup which I don’t think you’re quite ready for. If you don’t know what these are, google them and it’ll be very clear.

World

Rack pullups are just pullups preformed in a squat rack right? Now that I have dropped weight, I can image my pullups are much better than they were. The most pullups I have ever been able to do was 16 when I was up around 215lbs. This was when I was a lot stronger, so I don’t know where I stand now.
You want me to start my cycle on a Saturday (the 15th)? I am having a hard time waiting!

The 17th, I guess. Hopefully I will lean out sooner so I don’t have to wait so long.
