At least you set a PR.

I’m imagining a long exasperated sigh, a rubbing of the brow and shaking of the head before a begrudging “at least…”

Hey, at least you set a PR. Now set more of them and it doesn’t matter what program you follow.

Hahaha cheers mate

Honestly, I mostly changed because I was sick of fives

And goblet squats

Fuck Goblet Squats

Haha. They do suck. I think they’re pointless, but what do I know? half the time I cant squat within 85% of my max lol

In fairness, my quads blew up and squat technique felt on point, it’s just ridiculously misreable holding a Dumbbell that weighs 60-70% of my TM in the goblet position

That’s part of the fun, buddy.

Tuesday 14th of May
BBB: W1 C1 Press

TM: 32.5kg

Went fuck it and set my TM to the absolute lowest possible weight. My press always plateaus out pretty quickly, so it’s time to give myself a ridiculous amount of leeway.

Warm-Up:

  • Rusin Dynamic Warm-Up (Chest & Shoulder focus)
  • BPA Complex: 2 sets

Press:

  • 20 x 5
  • 25 x 5
  • 27.5 x 20 + 6
  • 20 x 5 x 10

Set a goal for 20 on that PR set and got it without too much struggle. Racked the bar, but, after a few breaths, I decided to get some more reps.

~26 reps is certainly room to grow

BBB Assistance: ss w supplemental

  • SA DB Rows: 20 x 3 x 15, 25 x 10

Other Assistance:

  • EZ Curls: +10kg x 10, 10, 10
  • Straight Bar Triceps Pushdowns: 25 x 3 x 15
