It's true homies, eagles don't roam in flocks

ho hum bench day, mostly due to me celebrating too much last night

close grip bench 135/185/225 x 10, 275/315 x 5, shut it down there, felt same tweak in pec that I did 2 weeks ago, right now would be a horrible time to be injured

overheads with fat football bar 95/135 x 10, 155, 175, 175 x 5, 135 x 18 so since I am just bringing overheads in after a 5 year hiatus, figure I have lots of room to grow, lol

straight bar pressdowns 5 x 12

overhead extesnions 5 x 12

beat to hell from last few days, will ramp this back up soon. probably a lot of rep work for pressing in the near future

Thanks Scotto. Usually I try to be in and out of the gym in 1.5 hours. Sometimes two, especially if I am keeping my training to 4 days a week.

A lot going on personally right now, so backing off on training heavy. I just feel too damn injury prone, I need a few weeks of low stress training to balance out high stress life. Wife starting new job Monday, I will either be starting one job Thursday, or depending on how some interviews and conversations go this week will be onto something a little more lucrative. Kids back in daycare, first time for almost three year old.

Here was last few days training:

Wednesday:

close grip inclines, up to 185 x 10, pec felt very tender, shut it down there

v grip pulldowns 5 x 10-15

cable flyes 5 x 15-20

face pulls 5 x 12

laterals 5 x 15

rope down/ext 5 x 10-15 each

cable curls 5 x 15

Wednesday

pull throughs 5 x 10-15

leg raise 5 x 10

45 back ext 5 x 10

unilateral leg press 5 x 8

calve press 5 x 15

machine abs 5 x 10

Friday elliptical 25 min

lame, but this will change.

Yesteray

db bench up to 125s x 8, no strain on pec, doing better than I thought

close grips 3 x 12 w/225

hammer strength y row 5 x 10-12
hammer strength tris 5 x 8-10

pressdowns 5 x 10-12
up rows 5 x 8-10

cable rear delts 5 x 15

crunches 5 x 15

The psycho-social affects on our physical performance can be daunting. Good work on the dumbbells and close grips.

today

roll, stretch

hlr 3 x 8

close stance gms, no belt up to 405 x 5

hack squat, 5 sets, working up to a heavyish set of 8

walking lunges 3 x 6

db shrug 3 x 12
hammer curl 3 x 12

cable abs 3 x 10
calves 3 x 10

good news on the j.o.b. front.
