I missed it or am too lazy to find it but what weight class and federation(s) do you compete in?
I’m going for the 500 lbs front squat by the end of my 40 day Easy Strength(Dan John) program anyway so that may not be in your program cycle but I’ll be cheering you on as well. I am starting to realize the carryover from the front squat to my mid-back, heck my whole back, and my core while my legs are getting plenty of work. I’m going ATG on the front squats so the hammies are feeling the front squats pretty good.
800 as an M1 lifter will be incredible and a worthy accomplishment.
I’m 220 lbs class and my federations are RAW UNITED and APF, all raw lifting.[/quote]

Have competed as 242, 275 (mostly) and 308 (once) in APF, USPA, UPA, unsanctioned, and even once @ USAPL (never again).

A friend is trying to get me to do an SPF meet this winter/spring, if so will do that either 259 or maybe even back to 242 if I can pull it together.

went into training feeling like shit. my now 6 year olds birthday weekend entailed me eating way too much crap that I like but I am not used to (think I hit a Doritos PR) plus antibiotics I am on led to a very ‘depleted’ a.m. then stuck in rush hour for a full hour made not feeling like doing shit. thank god I had my ipod, if it wasn’t for cranking some Danny Diablo this session would have been shit

Good heavy work. Nice weight on the box front squats, impressive. It looks like this was a high output day.

That crazy-loco-gringo-fucking up our hill while practicing his “sprinting from the cops”

I thin that is what the Latina’s were thinking whil looking at you.

wonderful the wife wants to dl, she is squatting too right?

Are you still going to use the SDP? I think I’m giving mine up for double ply Rage X, SDP doesn’t play nice with my shoulder issues and I can tuck better with the Rage X.

No SDP for me, thinking will work back into my ACE

wife isn’t squating yet, benching and dling but she is having a hard time getting comfortable with the bar on her back. work in progress

What is the foam roller bench? Is that where you lower the bar to a foam roller on your chest or it is the foam roller underneath you? Or is it something else?

like a board press, but to a roller, and letting it sink in.

friend of mine is going to train at Westside for a bit, he has been talking to Louis and he says Louis is having his lifters use foam blocks instead of boards. Esp his over 35 lifters. figured I would give it a whirl. Felt like I could have gone up around 435-455 for reps, but alas, ran out of spotters.

I have a good foam roller so I think I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the novel idea.

Wonder if the foam roller works kind of like the towels we use?
Btw how many 40+ have benched 800? Cant be many? Lol on usapl meet.

G how you doing? over 40 with even 700+ i spretty low, 800+ is Vinni, Gene, Roger, and a few others off the top of my head. I am determined to make it
