When they say the birds died of blunt force trauma, I think that just means they died when they hit the ground. Doesn’t address why they fell out of the sky. Birds are very sensitive too air quality so I would look first to gas or other pollutants in the air. There’s no way they were all flying into each other.
Did you ever see these giant swarms flying in complete unison?

Ever wonder what one retard bird might do to such a thing?
I’m sure they slip up all the time and the result is a brief minor glitch that is quickly corrected. There’s lots of room up in the sky. A flock of birds that looks pretty dense is really mostly space. Even if they started flying in all directions they would mostly miss each other.
Not of they are nesting in huge numbers and get startled…
Even if.

I just read an article on it. It said the “prevailing theory” is that they were startled by fireworks and began flying into trees & buildings. I have to wonder, is anyone paying any attention to where these birds are being picked up? I mean, wouldn’t it be pretty obvious if they were all at the base of buildings or under and around trees? Is this Arkansas inbreeding at it’s best?

Dude, you nailed it.

Large groups of Birds dying off like that is not even remotely rare. Its just making the news because they have nothing better to talk about. The 100k fish is disease… its the same species of fish… and animals get sick. Don’t know much about the other stuff but numbers don’t really sound high or unordinary. Just because a logical explanation isn’t clear atm doesn’t mean one doesn’t exist

Sounds like they were stuck in a hail storm, to me.

Happens all the time off the Med. sea near Israel, Italy, whatever.

Hail will fall down (and up, just as violently) in really wicked thunderstorms — with or without water or hail actually making it to the ground. Anything in the middle is beat to hell.

We’ve had birds falling out of the sky like this for a couple thousand years from this.

Seriously, Americans need to travel more, or at least read a travel book.
I agree with all of this, see my post above. Hail killed one of my neighbors in Texas when he went outside to save his new truck’s paint job, I am sure it can wreak havoc on a flock of freaking birds.

I agree, but it’s fun to speculate.

whatever. you guys can keep all your ‘rational’ answers.

imma rule the world with the amount of amoxicillin i got stored.

And that’s Queen Mascherano to you sir.

I can throw a rock to the Adirondacks. I got a bunker and lots of food and ammo, you can come to the bunker. We even got leather straps and stuff. Err I mean lots of beef jerky and water.

Yeah, I’ve been monitoring this since it started, and none of you seem to realize how big it is - we’re talking hundreds of thousands of dead fish and birds in over a dozen different locations across the world since the 1st, none of them testing positive for diseases or viruses.

Here’s links to some of them: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/68452309/2011-Bird-and-Fish-Deaths

I mean, it’s raining turtle doves by the hundreds in Italy right now. Freaking weird.

Is anyone burning these birds or at least cutting thier heads off? I mean the fish, I’m not so worried about. Zombie fish can’t jump out on land and start biting me. But re-animated zombie birds sure as hell can fly and attack in furious flocks of rotting infested flesh. Please someone tell me the aren’t buyring them in shallow graves. Please.

Ok, damn.

Any takers on further logical explanations?

Can’t wait for the cause to end up being linked to global warming.

Indeed!

apparently these birds all roost at night, not big night fliers since they cannot see great at night. the explosions (fireworks) caused a flock to startle. all discombobulated the birds started flying into the sides of houses, trees, etc. a big mass bird clump of confusion banging into the sides of shit.

we’re good at fucking up the world, says the guy who eats lbs of beef, turkey, chicken every week.

like that dumb cunt who shot the albino moose, what a fucking cunt. i’d like to shoot her in her dumb inbred face. stupid choices are made when your lovers are family members.

Right, so what about the other birds? And fish? And crabs?

Why couldn’t a zombie fish come out and start biting you? They’re already dead and don’t need to be under water any more.

Some of the jaws on a good sized musky or pike will surely tear the flesh off of your lower extremities, and when you fall they will eat the rest of you.

Not trying to scare you, just making sure you’re prepared.

They’re not burying them.

They’re throwing them back.

“FLY!!!”

Now, I may not be the greatest runner in the world, but even I can outrun a fish on land.

I blame BP. They are awesome at mass animal kills. On the bright side, they don’t need to change initials. BP = Bird Pulverizers
