This confirms what I’ve been saying. ‘Heterosexual’ guys spooning? There are some very, very mentally ill people out there. Honestly this is disturbing stuff.
Really? Two guys engaging in what you’re assuming is a sexual or romantic act is disturbing and proof of mental illness? You know some guys do shit like this purely to watch people like you get their panties in a twist and squirm at the mere thought of it? That they find your reaction absolutely hilarious? Does the thought of rolling around and grappling with other sweaty men make you feel uncomfortable too? Because wrestlers kind of do that on a regular basis, and that’s the background I’m coming from when I comment about this.
I don’t know what you’ve been saying that you think anything posted in this thread confirms, but I’m not sure I’d agree with it.

“Sometimes you grab his cock…sort of as a joke”
I might be a bit old fashioned but I consider cuddling other men and grabbing their cocks sort of…gay. I don’t really get the “joke.”
couple of friends would pretend to be some poor schmuck parents because his mother was fine as hell. greats laughs, not homo.

Agreed (another former wrestler here, FWIW, and I will also confirm TheJonty’s position that male athletes often engage in this sort of horseplay specifically BECAUSE it makes homophobes so uncomfortable).
It’s funny: for all the questioning about whether a gay football player would be accepted in the locker room, I think most male athletes would be far more accepting of a homosexual teammate than most nonathletes expect. Had someone on my college football team come out, I think anyone that gave the guy a hard time would have taken WAY more shit from teammates than the guy who came out.
Here’s another thing I don’t get: if a homosexual male shared a bed with a female for the night, I don’t think most homophobes would argue that he is now straight. So why would a heterosexual male admitting that he’s spent a night sharing a bed with another male be evidence that he’s gay?

It’s not. It’s the cuddling part that’s…well, just not entirely straight.

Agreed…I’ve shared many beds with males…but spooning and cuddling… I mean well its just gay.nttiawwt
In high school I shared beds (full size beds, not twin or anything like that) with friends when we would go on road trips for skiing or what not. No cuddling.
In college in those situations where a bunch of people were crashing at one place, I was always fortunate enough to get a chick so I never had to split a bed with some dude.
I agree with you guys calling BS on the spooning statistic.
Even if the guys on the team weren’t just having a laugh answering the questions, it’s still just one team of one university. All it means is that team is particularly homoerotic, says absolutely nothing about the overall scale.
You’d kind of expect if you asked one team that they would all say no or pretty much all say yes, it’s either going to be something that team does or doesn’t do depending on whether it’s seen as normal or not.

liar
Uh … that’s not the issue here. I’m pretty sure them talking about spooning and grabbing each other’s cocks in the article is what’s raising eyebrows … lol. I’ve bunked with dudes numerous times, but we weren’t doing any of that. That’s not typical straight behavior.
Seriously, this article can’t be real. It’s like something you’d read on The Onion.

I’m quoting this before you ninja edit it.
All I’m getting from this is “woke up”, “huge”, “rub”, and “buddy”.
Holy shit you’re fast! I mean as soon as I saw that i thought “Oh fuck! This story is already gay but I somehow made it even worse!”

Or maybe some did, and we didn’t hear about it because we didn’t have social media to post every damned thing we’re doing.
