sorry you keep hitting yourself… i don’t have that problem because i don’t really finish the pull :-/
your bar path is looking really good… i still can’t figure the jumping back thing…
ah that miss made me cringe!!!
like how i used to cringe when people drop the weights (freaked me out at first). i’m alright with missing snatches, i think… but missing behind with a clean grip?! my ‘oh my god won’t my shoulders rip out of their sockets?!’ fear is back…
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! and lol print. I had a really good birthday and I’m still eating cake :=) Charlie, there might be something to that, heh.
Brute I think I must be misunderstanding and next time I go there I’m going to have to ask because it’s ridiculous!
Frenchie ya! Tomorrow I’m going to try and jerk it.
cholulalula and Bre I’m glad my videos are helpful! It helps me to look at what went wrong on the misses for sure. It also helps me grow some balls by posting them

it was a beautiful miss, though, of course.
The hitting with the bar seemed to be better yesterday but what a nuisance!
I thought jumping back a little bit was okay though. Are you sure it’s something that needs fixing? I jump back doing cleans and now that I’m not jumping forward on my snatches I jump back a little on some of them too.
The miss felt pretty natural so it wasn’t as scary as it looked =) Actually I’m a lot less afraid of missing now because I know I can just get out of the way. Apparently a miss from behind for someone like me having trouble with the bar positioning being too far forward might mean I’m actually starting to get it so hopefully…

I got my 145lb clean! I didn’t even try to jerk it though. My arms were pretty tired from yesterday so I only did a couple of jerks. My snatches weren’t so great because I hit my damn pubic bone again and they always seem to go to hell after that. I really need to figure that out.

Happy Birthday and Congrats on the clean!
I think I’m too immature for oly lifting. This paragraph made me giggle a little.
lol I try talking about oly lifting to the guys at work and I have to phrase everything so carefully or they’re in giggles. “That’s RIGHT. I said SNATCH. Ahem. A big fat 100lb snatch”
Tonight I didn’t workout. I had a massage, watched hockey and ate steak and bacon and eggs. I took a piccture of my feast but pictures are disabled right now.
Yesterday:
snatch
bar
20 snatches in 20 mins 5@70lbs,10@75lbs,5@80lbs
Deb - Rarely post but I only follow a handful of logs on T-Nation and yours is one of them. So I thought I’d stick my head in and say Hi and a (belated) Happy Birthday - and a little note, other than my usual “damn, that ass” comments to your pics on the T-Vixen thread
I reckon a person’s 30s and 40s are their most attractive years. Or rather, have the potential to be. Really shows who’s been living well and looking after themselves - physically, mentally, spiritually.
Let’s face it, most people look and act decent in their late-teens and 20’s but youth will almost do that for you alone.
The 35-45 year old (or even older) who still has that youth and athleticism (or is even better than what they were when younger, because of living the training lifestyle), coupled with strength and wisdom … now that is something to behold. Rare, of course, but that’s what makes it special when you see it.
And it’s clear to everyone on the T-Nation thread that you’re very much in that category - even to a random guy who follows your log on the net on the other side of the planet. So kudos and keep doin’ what you’re doin’.
