Maybe it’s the compression but these don’t really show the big ass, at least as I see it. I’m over 39 inches in the butt now tho =o

I doubt it’s the pants, if you do a straight side shot in the white background I’m sure it’ll be clear as day. more verification is needed.

hmm. i’m going to read that a couple more times, too. very interesting. i love compression tights, too. always lift in 2 layers (of tights or tights and trackies or tights and shorts - which looks ridiculous, i know) because i’m terrified of blowing out my pants when i squat or of camel toe… but they really are very comfy. but my ass doesn’t look anywhere near as good as yours… sigh. one day. hopefully…

I also read somewhere that wearing them after training might help with recovery. But it’s so hard to know if stuff like that makes a difference or not. It’s a good reason to sit around in them! I find them a bit warm for snatching and c&j. I bought them for running outside in the winter so they’re a bit on the heavy side.

Tonight I worked on getting fast under the bar some more. Didn’t really worry about getting heavy. Still not there! I started my workout way too late due to lame hockey game with double OT. Dead tired now! Bed.

yes, i heard they might help with recovery, too. something about the compressive support helping prevent stuffs (sorry thats as technical as i can get) accumulating in the muscles, and also helping the stuffs clear from the muscles.

i personally find they stop my muscles getting pumped up / as full when i’m training.

i’m not sure what effect that has???

mine are ‘coolmax’ kind. they actually feel cold on the skin, no matter how drenched in sweat i am. the main virtue of the material (imho) is it doesn’t change color when it gets wet. i sweat more than anyone i know… the extra layer sops up the sweat and stops my trackies changing color, too.

winter coming up here. i’d love some warm ones…

Charlie, I think it’s all the ATG squatting. I used to do a lot of that (much much lower weight and more reps) but as I was trying to hit higher numbers I let my depth come up to parallel. Now that I’m back to ATG and with heavier weights my butt is getting lots of work!

This morning I did some back squats and was only planning on going light. Instead it felt good and I attempted 210lbs. I was really close but I wimped out (UGH) I didn`t put a whole lot of pressure on I think because I’m supposedly going easier on the squats this week :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll post a vid of my attempt. I did get 205lbs which is still a pr and it wasn’t hard at all, hence why I know I suck for giving up on the 210 lol.

More seriously though, it sucked squatting alone and upon video review never making depth because I could never tell during the lift. But at least ATG there’s no doubt! I had a few PRs I was happy with only to see the video and weep. :stuck_out_tongue:
