It's Good to Have Goals

No problem Jean, I know you would do that same for me :)…you owe me nothing, just friendship and to let me watch your PR’s!

Oh yeah also: I see that guy watching all the time…yes step away from the bar sir, you dont know who your messin with I could deadlift you twice over almost…LOL

Went in to the workout today: Week 8 Day 2: 3x3 215 Deadlift…not pretty but done. Overhead Press PR of 80 3x3 highlights of the day. I also did a 1 rep PR of 95 for OHP…I could not get the 2nd rep but getting there!

Plan to update my last few workouts soon

I forogt on Monday I got two reps at 115 Bench and another single at 115… wanted 3 but hey its still a PR

This is 150 and 170…I faltered a little on my second rep…but hey getting there…

More to come…

20 Reps at 135…I think this was 19 and I went right back and did 1

my Body weight was 138 this am so…basicly body weight

Just watched your squats w/150 and 170. Good work but if I may suggest a couple training tips that may help you have more power immediately. For one your stance is very narrow. This can be good however widening your stance just a little could help significantly. Having each foot a couple inches outside of your shoulder width (or even an inch) should help. Another tip will be to have a slight out turn for your feet. In other words turn your feet just slightly out at an angle. This gives most lifters (including me) better stability and a more solid position for the hips. The last tip is most or equally important: In all squatting push the knees out especially during ascending. I hope these tips help and you don’t find my suggestions obtrusive.

No Not at all I appreciate any suggestions…Yes I do have a very narrow stance and need to work on that I do know that… I think in time I will be abole to do well. This is my first serious attempt at heavier lifting and in 8 weeks I have made amazing progress…I love T Nation and appreciate thoughts that help

My 135 Squats video was better…but of course getting more stable at that weight…

Up,
There is meaning behind the shirts. Each one had a “Rick-ism” on it: Hips, More Hips; Stay Tight!; and Stay on Target.

We made some for the guys, too (perhaps I can put up the group shot I got later). We did it as a surprise to celebrate Rick’s return to the gym on Friday.

I dig the outfits. Kick-ass socks FTW.

Rick had his shirt turned around, but it says “Rangers lead the way!” on the front.
