You’re really fucking strong. You should totally do that strongman. If you look at the people who do well at strongman, they’re not just strong, they’re also fast and agile (eg Mariusz). With all the Crossfitting, I’m pretty sure you’d rock.

Thanks! I’m going to definitly give it a try. I’ve done little events that were strongman-ish and loved it, but it’s not too often they have women’s divisions that are do-able. Super excited about this strongman fitness thing. Could be what I’ve been looking for.

Yes it is draining, real draining. Mondays are fun after events on the weekend…

I train Monday Overhead/shoulders
Tuesday Deadlifts/back/hamstrings
Thursday cg bench/chest/triceps
Saturday events

i follow 5/3/1 progression for the main lifts except for deadlift. Also more cardio now since I am trying to drop weight.

I’ve tried but it was hard to get started without much support. The closest group i could find was nearly 2 hours away…and the closest comps were states away…and now my knees are knackered.

I just want to look and feel good for now…I’ll worry about hulking up later.

Sometimes I feel strong, and then I look at the events at these strongWOman events and shut the hell up. Or I go to brutes log. Tomato, potato. The OH DB press at the Europa event is 80lbs! I will get there. I got a new yoke today that I’m gunna dick with on Thursday. Yoke walk for women at the europa is 450lbs. I loaded the yoke up with 450 and…got it off the ground but took no steps. Lol. Tomorrow is the first day of the crossfit open. I shouldn’t be too sore and I’m eating carbs like a champ. Busy little bee. I will take some melatonin and make sure I get good sleep. Boss said I could work half days on Wednesdays this month so I can sleep in a bit and be well rested. :slight_smile:

With yoke i try not to go max heavy I train below contest weight until I am fast and bump it up 25-50lbs I try to limit it to 2-4 runs tops cause that thing KILLS ME

Agreed with Kalle on yoke programming. I usually only try the comp weight once or twice before I compete. It destroys me otherwise, and foot speed is pretty much everything in that event (besides a solid core haha). And Kalle is the man for form critiques. He’ll get ya right quick.

That makes me happy to hear. Shit was heavy as fook. I have lots and lots of work to do.
