heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell yeah! How was it Sweet D? You’re my hero

Sorry to hear about your shitty day. At least the bills are paid now, though! But sods law dictates that when you pay a load of bills and have no money left, another expense crops up. Buggery. At least you turned it into a win with your awesome workout.
And yes, pics please.

50 reps of anything is just showing off

Alright!!! So…Lemme recap.

Gave the AD a whirl and it just made me veryyyy tired. Couldnt quite get a handle on it. Have been eating carbs again AND I have cut back on some things. For example, with the exception of conditioning drills I do at work, I am limiting my workouts to once a day. Basically, I have been doing doing every other day lifting, every other day cardio. So no real off days, but no real crazy days. I put carbs back in and have been eating like a responsible human. Big 30-40 carb/20-30protein breakfast, small carb+protein snack 3 hours later, CHO+Pro at lunch, Pro+fat snack later, lean and green for dinner, cottage cheese before bed. Making sure time my workouts right after my big breaky. LOTS of green tea and water. Fish oil supplements. Big sloppy cheat meal 2x/week. Nothin crazy. My thought was that if I dont chill the eff out, I will be depleted before my diet even starts. Pleasant surprise: couple pounds weight loss. Unpleasant: some strength loss. Oh well.

Workouts have been more volume, less weight. Really focusing load on muscle. No “day off” but it doesnt seem to be hurting me too bad. Sometimes my cardio is pretty low impact and more like an active recovery day. I just feel it it.
Split is like so:
Day 1: cardio
Day 2: Deadlift and Glute/Ham stuff+shoulders
Day 3: cardio
Day 4: Bench+ Push/Pull/triceps
Day 5: cardio
Day 6: Squat/quad stuff +shoulders
Day 7: Cardio
Day 8: Push/pull/biceps
Day 9: start over…

Im sitting at 132 this morning, which is really good all things considered. Last time, I cut down from 145. Meh Meh Meh. SOOOO todays workout was…

A1) Squats 175x10x3(WOOF)
B1) Bulgarian Split Squat 55lb kettlesx5x10/leg
B2) One arm DB clean/jerk 50lbx5x6/arm
C1) Leg Press 4ppsx5x10
C2) One arm lateral raises 17.5x5x8/arm
D1) Quad Extention 5x10
D2) Rear Delt Machine 5x10
E1) Squats 135x3x10
E2) Handstand Pushupx3x6

Smart Thinking on the food
strategy…why deprive yourself nomilicious nom noms so far out??
Also our training split is pretty similar.

Btw- you and your thread title remind me of this song.

OMG…Mimz, thank you for posting that. I cant stop dancing now!!!

Nice, Dash! I like hearing about how you’re prepping for contest this far in advance. You’re getting set-up, so to speak. Interesting.

And I like the training split! I’ve been running a similar deal, where I lift one day and then do some sort of cardio/complex/conditioning cough the next. I like it, gives you a lot of variety, plus i’m not ashamed to say I like my cardioez!

175x10x3 is good shit! and then another set of squats? kee-razy. You get in a fuck ton of volume. Me likey!

Thanks Masch! I have to do something. The amount of conditioning I was doing was nice, but it also made me pretty tired. It’d be hard to cut if January rolls up and I am already depleted and worn down.

The second set of squats was an experiment.

damn - that first set of squats put me back in my place Dasher. Strong bikini-lady is Strong

Sounds like a good plan. I like your training regime - less crazy and you won’t burn out. I may do something like this myself.

Main—sore bikini lady is sore! Though I have always liked heavy triples.

Cal—agreed. I still get an itch later in the day to workout again, but I try to block it out. I sound like an addict.

I thought you were going to cool it a bit on the conditioning??? LOL

Looks pretty horrible hahaha… I wish I had a prowler :frowning: So jelly

Dood! Get one! they cheap on elitefts’s page. I got the econo for my car and then I have a big fucker in my studio and then a few huge fuckers at work.

I want to do hill sprints too but there’s too much toe flexion involved and considering that’s how I hurt my foot in the first place, I don’t think it’s a smart plan for me at this point. Pity, because I actually enjoy sprinting.

Wish I had a prowler too but I have nowhere to store or use it, even if I could afford one right now. I don’t even have a freezer or a washing machine, my flat is so tiny!

Slowish???!!!

8 minutes is a fast pace.

Cal—I mentioned it earlier, but the econo prowler from elitefts breaks down fairly well. It might be a good option. That being said, I use quite a bit of flexion when I push the prowler…pulling might be a good option for you, though! I’ll take a picture later of how small my prowler is and what it folds into.

2busy—Its not a terrible mile…I just didnt push it. Im trying to break into the high 5 minute range for my quickest mile. Im close.

todayyyyyyy

A1) Low Cable rows 4x10
A2) Machine Flys 4x10
A3) v-bar tricep pull downs
B1) 1 arm DB rows 4x8/arm
B2) Hammer machine Incline Bench Press 4x10
B3) Close grip bench 4x10
C1) Wide grip Lat pull down 4x10
C2) Hammer machine Press 4x10
C3) Dips 4x10
D1) Cable decline press 4x10
D2) Stair arm pull downs 4x10

Nothing fancy. Didnt write down weight on everything or even write anything down. Kind of in a hurry today, but threw quite a bit of volume in. Very simple format, and did the job.

lol @ volume.
