Dasherpolooza: Complete.

Powerlifting Meet. Weighed in at 8am at a fasted 130.5 so I was good to go there. Probably the smallest meet I have ever done. One flight. Kinda disappointed in how it all turned out. I lifted fine and went 240-145-275. However, the meet director didnt get certified judges so the meet was scratched from American record eligibility. He also didnt do kilos…it was just a mess. In my opinion, he should have just had a unsanctioned meet, as thats what it kind of amounted to. Except we all still had to wear singlets.

Mud Run–awesome. Incredible course, lots of fun shit happening there. My team finished okay, for a bunch of powerlifters who lifted that morning. We got free beer at the end! WIN!

Celebratory night out: abso-fucking-lutely epic.

Mud Rasslin—a good time was had. It was kinda smut, but we raised some pretty good charity bucks. It was my weekly good deed.

your goal was 650 IIRC and unless my math is off (which it very well could be considering my math skills rival that of a 7 year olds) you hit 660 at the meet? Hell motha effin yeah! great job Sweet D.

Greezy–I know! My lifting was really off the chain, all things considered! The squat usually zaps the energy outta me but my workout partner competed too and was doing allll sorts of awesome shit that kept everyone excited. (He ended the day just shy of a 690dl at 198)

Nice job at the meet! Too bad it wasn’t what you expected but awesome to meet (and exceed) your goals.

Dani—The lifting was good. Like I said, the energy was really good. Amazing what will happen when you are amped up. I was only going to try for 260 on deads but the squat and bench went so well and I was rolling on a coffee high.

Greezy, you are still my number one. I can explain, I think. Freaky strength, but he might deserve it. He got powerlifter fat for a coupla years and then lost a bunch of weight in a very slow manner. He lost some strength and then 5/3/1-ed that bitch back up. On his behalf, it hasnt been a quick or easy road. And he doesnt have a bitchin mustache.

I am really going to try and clean up my diet a bit. I think this last weekend was a fucking blast, but it was incredibly hard to train for (running and pl-ing are just rough)
I like the mix I have, and im not going to abandon it, but im not going to stress it. There is a pretty good chance I will hit up a couple of bikini shows early spring for kicks, so I am gunna work on being purdy.
Probably keep the 5/3/1 but be a little more thoughtful of the accessory work.

Things I’d like to see:
More delt and back development
more hamstring development…which im not sure how to go about, exactly. The problem isnt that I lack hammies, its that my quads are a little overdeveloped. I had really tight hip flexors for ever (im talking years) and I think it made for some wicked compensation. Anyway, I am going to try and get my hammies up to par.
