It's a Little Bit of Everything

Deja: So nice to see you here logging again. Your strength is so inspirational to me.

Magical foam roller appearance=proof St. nick DOES exist!

I’ve got a soft spot for millies too. Looks like your lifting hasn’t missed a beat.

Great job with keeping the diet nice and tight. I laughed at the monkhole comment because I feel the same way, might as well take advantage while we’ve got it.

Yup! Deja, you are mad strong, girl. Never ceases to impress. 85x3 on those millies is nice nice! Be interested to see what happens after you spend some time on them.

And 20x3 on those weighted pullups is awesome. I can barely eek out 3 with a 10er! I’m after your ass on those, though, don’t you worry

I know! Deja is a total powerhouse–and not a big person by any means!! So strong! So awesome!

hey ladies!! yah i’ve soooo missed training. but i’ve finally gotten the motivation, a little more free time since i’m flying solo, random weight equipment all over, a gym close by, money for supps n clean food, etc etc so no excuses.

nutrition today was ligggght to say the least. couple cups of coffee at 5am… an apple and cheese stick at noon… and nothing else til i got home from work at 8pm. i had brought chicken and veggies to heat up at work but never got a chance. just whipped up some chorizo con juevos and i’ll make a giant protein smoothie later. at’ll do, donkey, at’ll do.

decided to see how many neutral grip pullups i could get on a whim. told myself i’d get 8 and sure enough i eeked em out. the last one was haaard…but i was pretty happy with the 8 since i don’t really ever train them in higher rep ranges. =+)

i’ll get in some db rows, foam rolling, probably swings or snatches with my 50 lber and call it a night.

To just knock this stuff out without having trained em in awhile is impressive!

I’ll say. 85lb millies are no joke. 88lbs is my one rep max and I have to be feeling good to get that much.

nice on the neutral pullups. Jelly I Am.

thanks my dears. soooo excited to be back to training. yay. and boy do i need it. i’m PUDGY!!! yuck. goal is bikini ready by march or so. want to go on some kind of island or beach/tropicalish vacation in feb or march so i need to get my lean on. =+)

today’s nutrition was low cal, low carb, all clean.

wanted to get in at least a heavy single of deads… so i forced myself to go straight to the garage when i got home from work. figured if i was bundled up in hydraulic oil covered work clothes i’d get it done…but knew if i headed to the house instead i’d be screwed. i’d never leave the toasty house for the icy garage. lol

anyways i want to get in a short dl day in the middle of my work week each week. most weeks i’ll work up to a heavy single and then back down for some triples or higher sets. this week was minimalistic… just excited to be grippin and rippin again. it’s been so long. feels like home.

workout:

dl: 135 x 5; 205 x 2; 255 x 1; 295 x 1

that’s all she wrote. two more long work days. i got this.

a Tropical vacation???
sounds dreamy…

I don’t get how you can possibly be pudgy.

yep! Mim’s right! Killer deads My Deadlift hero!!!

pudgy round the middle. i’m about 139 lbs right now… which is a good 15 lbs heavier than last time i was close to “bikini shape”. i think i’ll be getting to a good lean place around 129-130 so i’m packing on a good 10-12 lbs of blubber…and most of it is around my middle. need to go from ( ) to )(

i’ll get there. nutrition has been superb lately. food just doesn’t really do it for me anymore. maybe it’s just a temporary thing…but no urges to binge or even really any cravings. have to force myself to eat lately. i’m sure that’ll change when i’m totally over the ex. lol

and i’m totally content to put in the work… over time… that it takes to get and rock the body i want. and it’s definitely a lot of work. but so worth it. and i have nothing better to do. =+)

another low cal, low carb, all clean food day. nutrition lockdown.

got in a short “workout” when i got home. with a job where i have to sit for 12.5 straight hours it is extremely important i get the blood flowing when i get home. it’s insane how strong the urge to just lay around is… and how exhausting just sitting can be. anyways having stuff around the house to get in a workout with is coming in clutch.

today did:

pronated grip pullups: bw x 5, 5, 4
wide pronated grip pullups: bw x 3, 3
db rows: 50 x 20/20
db front squat: 50 x 22

short n sweet. now to shower and laze in front of some football.

Totally understand!!

today’s nutrition was chicken breast, cottage cheese, and some sliced peaches.

now i’m enjoying my “friday” night with a couple ice cold IPAs.

did get in a quick set of pullups.

normal (pronated grip) pullups. was aiming to get 5 and got EIGHT!!! oh and did some squeezing of the grippers.

leg day manana. holla.

deja finally got a foam roller? Did the aliens come replace the deja we all know and love with an IMPOSTER?

PS: Awesome weighted pullups!

i had one in my old life!!! it just wasn’t very flight friendly. (and would of gotten stolen with my rental car anyways.) so i gave it to my ex who was doing a lot of running and having mucho IT issues.

but i was good about foam rolling for a minute there!

workout:

hip mobility
bb fsq: 65 x 5; 95 x 3; 115 x 2; 135 x 1; 95 x 6, 6
weighted pullups: (neutral grip +20) x 3; (pronated grip +20) x 3
bb rdl: 135 x 10; 185 x 10

as usual: superb! great job on the pull ups for 8 too!!

thanks brutey. :+)

my internet was down all day yesterday. annoying but actually got me to get all productive and do a bunch of laundry, housework and errands.

anyways here’s yesterdays workout:

shoulder mobility
bb bench press: 65 x 8: 95 x 6; 115 x 3; 125 x 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1
incline db bench press: 40’s x 10; 35’s x 12; 30’s x 10
db row: 75 x 12L/12R

my upper back was absolute toast from all the pullups earlier in the week but i wanted to get in at least one set while i had access to heavy dbs.

just gettin off work. don’t have to be back until sunday night. or monday night if i decide i’d rather do something fun. yay.
