It's a Dog's life

Do what ever you need to do Bro. Just get it out of your system. When it’s gone you’ll be ready to let it rip. Peaks and valleys, life can be a roller coaster.

Like everyone else Bro, I’m there for you.

You’ll get back into it when you’re ready. We’re all grown ups here and understand sometimes it just ain’t there. Shit happens. Here when you’re ready again.

Nothing wrong with slacking. Motivation isn’t exponential. We all need to recharge so we can re-motivate ourselves.

Brothers - forgive me for I have slacked and will continue to slack for a few more days. I have been enjoying beers in the evening and not restricting carbs - someow I haven’t been able to bring myself to care.[/quote]

Sounds like you are letting the shot work its way through you and keeping your stress down while you do it.

Everyone needs a cycle once in a while.

You know I think this is close to what is happening - maybe not in the exact way you meant it. Couple of the less common side effects of the particular drug she gave me are abdominal pain (ever since Friday) and depression.

Thanks for all the support guys!

Soldog, this is a lifestyle and not a 100 Meter dash. The fact that you recognize it and acknowledge it means that you will be back on track when you need to be.

Stay strong and healthy…

Unscheduled breaks can aid recuperation. You have been hard at it, Soldag, and have earned the off time. One of my pleasures is making, and eating, chocolate chip cookies with my daughter. Now that is something to justify training!

At least my “break” didn’t add any weight.
no karate class this week

Shoulder rehab

8 Chins/40 frog crunches/10 push ups/40 twist crunches x2

60 minute ride, 8.9 miles, 1100 feet total climb

Sorry to hear about the stomach upset. I hope the depression part isn’t too bad.

Nice job getting elevated.

Thanks Skid!

Abdominal pain is gone today - depression is lifting like a morning fog that you didn’t know was there.

Getting out and getting “elevated” helped a lot this evening!

Glad the funk is lifting! Just go with the flow!

Nice ride!

Cappy

Thanks Cappy!

That’s exactly what it was a “blue funk”.

This was an “easy” ride - dirt roads around the neighborhood. Tomorrow I’m doing a hard trail ride with a buddy from work.

Can’t keep a good dog down!

Starting a new program for the fall. Upper/lower 4 days/week, lower will alternate focus between squats and deads going for strength doing a 5x3 at the top weights, upper will focus on bench and military press working low weights and high reps until I see how my shoulder responds over time. I’ll also do 2-4 other exercises each session trying out a variety of stuff that is new for me.

Any and all comments welcome…
