Got a trail ride in this morning before the thunderstorms kicked up. Learned/re-learned a few things:
And if the ride this morning wasn’t enough, I spent 2 hours stump digging this afternoon. I believe I have some eating to do to make up these expenditures.
And a beer or 6

Just maybe… I’ve been a good boy for two weeks now and haven’t had a single beer.

Now that’ll burn some calories! When does the snow start falling in your neck of the woods soldog? Another month or so?

It’s rare to have a real snow in August but it has happened in the last 19 years since we’ve been here. A couple of inches by late September is most likely but it won’t stick around long.
We’ve been having a nice afternoon t-storm pattern thats dropping agood amount of moisture, so the only thing needed for snow is a good cold front to come down from western Canada.
Saw a show on mountain lions killing cyclists and joggers this morning. Couldn’t help but think of you. One had killed a 235 lb guy. Watch your back solo dog.

They are around. There was a story last week about a mountain lion taking a dog from inside a bedroom after the owners left the deck door open.
I don’t cycle at dawn or dusk, so that should minimize my risk. Other than that - if Mother Nature wants me that bad…
Went to the doc today and got a cortisone shot in my shoulder joint - not a pleasant experience. Hurts pretty good right now and the instructions say to avoid exercising the joint for a week - so I’m taking the next few days off from lifting but will ride as much as possible.
I hope that takes care of it for you. I’d really like to see your upper body push training take off!

You and me both Bro!
Did the doctor put in restrictions on your lifting aftr you wait a week? Hope it helps.

Not explicitly, but common sense says work into it slowly and don’t do stuff that causes joint pain.
Thanks Hel
I hope the cortisone shot helps Soldog. I know that others on this board have gotten them and gotten good results.
Sounds like the weather has been great in your neck of the woods. I hope you get more rain to lower the fire risk.

Hang in there brother.Hope you feel better.
Brothers - forgive me for I have slacked and will continue to slack for a few more days. I have been enjoying beers in the evening and not restricting carbs - someow I haven’t been able to bring myself to care.

Hang in there Soldog…We’re all in your corner.
I recently went on a bender myself, we need to let loose every now and then to keep sane…
