Huh? Israel is an apartheid state?

You have any idea how many Arabs live in Israel?

Who is safer - a Muslim in Tel Aviv or a Jew in Damascas?

Many of these neighbors have vowed to burn Israel off the map. At least one is trying to develop nuclear weapons.

These neighbors support terrorism against Israeli civilians and have done everything possible to continue the trouble between the Israelis and the Palestinians thus leading to the condition you refer to as apartheid.

While Israel is sometimes heavy handed it is obvious that the true villians are the terrorists and their state supporters, not the Israelis.

I fail to see how any rational human being sees otherwise.
Sure, most Arab states don’t give a shit about the real condition of the Palestinians and cynically use them against the Israelis and to score points at home. That in no way discounts the justice and history of the Palestinian cause.

That’s a joke. Take a look at foreign aid, and especially military aid. We hardly hold them back.

From the tone of your original post Israel practices apartheid and does not deserve our support and their neighbors are apparently innocent.

We hold them back from doing what they have to do.

Imagine if Mexico was shooting rockets into American cities every day?

Would we fight back on a large scale or small scale.

Would we give them Texas back in hopes that they stop killing us?

Israel has shown restraint because America has told them to.

Events are moving quickly. I wonder if this is what it felt like when Franz Ferdinand was assassinated.

I’ve always thought it would have been a better idea to have made Jerusalem an open city.

Remove the white hot heat from the equation.

But, I digress…

It does interest me to see the lack of true criticism of Israel’s response.

The terrorists have shit in their mess-kit.

The aid with give them is HOW we hold them back. If we cut that off, they’d have no reason to not nuke Tehran tomorrow.

Sorry if this is off topic, but I read that the prisoners might be transferred to Iran. Do you think Israel would start attacking targets in Iran?

if the U.S. is afraid to go into Iran, what makes people think crazy old Israel is going to? It’s funny, the more i hear and see about what Israel is doing the harder it becomes to tell who the “terrorists’” are. The U.S. needs to distance itself from Israel, then lets see who they try to push around.

Israel should not exist, so who is mexico and who is the U.S.??? Lets not forget who “invaded” who.

If we just let the Islamic nations around Isreal destroy this “pretend nation”, who do you think they’ll come after next? It’s not about a tiny piece of land. They hate Israel because they’re not Muslim. And 9/11 didn’t happen because a bunch of guys had something against tall buildings - they want us gone too.

They don’t hate Israel because they are not Muslim. Many Palestinians are, in fact, Christians.

Israel is hated because it is Jewish.
NO, Israel is hated because they are intruders. they should have been set up in Europe. what the hell did palastine do to deserve having their land stolen? i think they should have put them in afghanistan, nobody wants that shit anyways.

you know, it’s funny that i read this post today. just last night while watching the news, i thought to myself, who in the hell buys this stuff? who see’s the one sided views and actually agrees with it? the way they push their agenda on everybody in those shows is kinda scary. and so many people suck it all up.

One example is U.S. military presence in saudi arabia, we were seen as supporters of a corrupt Saudi monarch, although we have pulled out many troops since 9/11 occured we are now in Iraq, do you think US military presence in Iraq is deterring people from becoming terrorists or is it emboldening them to become terrorists?

They were conquered…the same way any nation today was originally established. Through the power of the sword. Waaa…Whining about boundaries set up in the last century will in no way affect today’s reality. Unless of course one is suggesting we completely eradicate Isreal as a country and turn it over to Palastine. Then the wishy washy sentimentalism can continue on and on…but who are we to decide that. Where are you going to displace this new diaspora to. Who gave us the right? Sometimes Might does make Right. Especially when you are fighting a fanatical front whose anger dates back to the crusades. Better start working on that time machine.

This is an excellent analogy. There have been shots fired across the border presumably by drug cartel thugs. What if one of those cartels, which are loosely affiliated/manipulating the Mexican government which certainly isn’t strong enough or inclined enough to get rid of them, came across and nabbed a couple of border patrol agents or National Guard guys? One difference would be that the Mexican government is still sucking up to us too where Lebannon could care less about Israel. So we might hesitate a moment before bombing Mexico but if their new government didn’t cooperate in finding our guys, we’d unleash Hell itself on Mexico - as we should.

This will widen. If they start air strikes in Syria expect a ground offensive to follow. They’ve had enough.

If Iran meddles it will draw the US in. It would be tough to avoid Iraqi airspace if your flying from Iran to Israel. I don’t think the US will allow it.

I think they are about a week away from a big confrontation. If the US Navy sends another carrier, that will be the confirmation.

Report: Israel gives Syria ultimatum

London-based Arabic language newspaper Al-Hayat says Israel gave Syria 72 hours to stop Hizbullah?s activity, bring about release of kidnapped IDF troops. ?Israel will not end military activity until new situation created that will prevent Syria, Iran from using terror organizations to threaten its security,? newspaper quotes Pentagon official as saying
Roee Nahmias

The London-based Arabic language newspaper Al-Hayat reported Saturday that ?Washington has information according to which Israel gave Damascus 72 hours to stop Hizbullah?s activity along the Lebanon-Israel border and bring about the release the two kidnapped IDF soldiers or it would launch an offensive with disastrous consequences.?

The report said ?a senior Pentagon source warned that should the Arab world and international community fail in the efforts to convince
Syria to pressure Hizbullah into releasing the soldiers and halt the current escalation Israel may attack targets in the country.?

Al-Hayat quoted the source as saying that ?the US cannot rule out the possibility of an Israeli strike in Syria,? this despite the fact that the Bush administration has asked Israel to ?refrain from any military activity that may result in civilian casualties.?

‘Hizbullah made the same mistake’

The report also mentioned that President George W. Bush has repeatedly put much of the blame for the recent escalation on Syria.

?It is no coincidence that the Hizbullah operation comes at a time when the international community is working to impose sanctions on Iran due to its nuclear program and settle the score with Syria by establishing an international court to try those behind the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri,? the Pentagon source said.

According to the source, Hizbullah made the same mistake as Hamas when it did not predict the ramifications of its actions and ignored the regional and international changes since the fall of Saddam Hussein.

The source said that Israel has indicated that it ?will not end its military activity until a new situation is created that will prevent Syria and Iran from using terror organizations, such as Hamas and Hizbullah, to threaten its security.?

It was reported this morning that Iran had at least 100 troops in Lebannon. They’ve been meddling. I’d guess their meddling is what started all this.

I don’t know, what I see from the weasel words being used by the Syrian diplomats is really that they hope something will happen, but they don’t have the sack to actually make anything happen.

It was disgusting to watch these guys speak, and see how one sided it is. Both parties have been killing or otherwise transgressing against each other for decades.

There is a problem in that the general populace has been fed propaganda their entire lives and don’t actually want peace. They want what they are told is “justice”. If people in the region want peace, they are going to have to risk their lives by coming out and opposing the extremists.

If moderates do not fight for peace with their own extremists, they will not get it.

We need more propaganda in Muslim countries…

Hedo,

I thought so.

Thanks for the article and the insight.

Here it comes.
