That is a great letter. My respect is sky high for him. Jon Voight for President or maybe City Council.

You are in California and Arabs/Muslims are constantly being discriminated against? I live in Texas and Arabs/Muslims are not being discriminated against. They have the same opportunities that all other races or religions enjoy in this country.
Not trying to be an ass, but could you give us an example?

Hey Weby - I’m not American. I’ve never had this so-called American propaganda shoved down my throat. I support Israel. Guess that blows your stupid accusations out of the water. Idiot.
But I agree they need to change. They should openly declare they have nukes. Lots of them. And then promptly drop them all on Iran.
This propaganda stretches to most of the English-speaking world. To some extent to the whole western world. But it’s becoming less and less effective. Polls in most countries (if not all) show growing support for the Palestinians. Which isn’t really that weird. Them being occupied by an apartheid-like state and all.

Case #1: The Bay Area, CA: A Muslim woman said she received a death threat from a co-worker. Her supervisors treated it as a joke, but ultimately, she left the job because she didnâ??t feel safe there any longer. (The San Francisco Chronicle, 10 November 2001)
Case #2: Cupertino, CA: A 34-year-old Jordanian-American technician was fired from his job of seven months making computer circuit boards. The week before September 11, his weekly evaluation was positive, as usual. However, the day following the terrorist attacks, his boss gave him his first negative review. Furthermore, his boss required him to report his whereabouts every half-hour. After a week, he lost his job in a series of layoffs. Although there were other layoffs, the company kept technicians with less seniority than his. (Newhouse News Service, 15 October 2001)
Case #3: Fontana, CA: A Muslim high school senior working at a fast-food restaurant was the repeated target of bias jokes from both his coworkers and his manager. At first, coworkers taunted him, asking why his â??cousinsâ?? destroyed the World Trade Center. Sometime later, his manager began teasing him as well. â??Hey, weâ??re going to have to check you for bombs,â?? the manager joked, often in front of other employees. Days later, he was fired after he accidentally threw away a paper cup that the manager was using. The management said he was let go for â??performance deficiencies.â?? (The Los Angeles Times, 10 February 2002)
Case #4: Huntington Beach, CA: A doctor from Egypt was abruptly fired from his job at a medical center by his supervisor, who specifically mentioned the doctorâ??s nationality and religion. The doctor thought of suing, but was worried it would hurt his chances of getting a green card. (This could threaten his future employment opportunities.) (The San Francisco Chronicle, 10 November 2001)
Case #5: Wilmington, NC: A nurse recently converted to Islam and came to work wearing the hijab (head scarf worn by some Muslim women to cover their hair and necks). A doctor called her to his office and said, â??Youâ??re being offensive to me and my clients.â?? She talked to the head manager who assured her not to worry, that they would discuss it the next day. The next morning, the head manager told her, â??I canâ??t ask you to leave and itâ??s not legal to fire you, but if you want to leave you can.â?? He also told her, â??If you donâ??t cover your head everything will be OK.â?? (Reported to the ADC)

Those are some in California. And who said anything about work opportunities? I am talking about people who are being hateful, ironically, alot of these people are being hated on, in the work place.
Here is another.
Motaz Elshafi, 28, a software engineer, casually opened an internal e-mail at work last month. The message began, “Dear Terrorist.”
The note from a co-worker was sent to Muslims working at Cisco Systems in Research Triangle Park, N.C., a few days after train bombings in India that killed 207. The e-mail warned that such violent acts wouldn’t intimidate people, but only make them stronger.
Might as well throw this in here for “legitimacy.”
If Norm Chomsky is to be introduced here for his vast reservoir of insight into the Israeli-Philistine discussion then so should Casey Kasem and his thoughts on Scooby Doo.
Cool. You are ignorant. Take your lame excuses for comedy to another forum so others who are incredibly as unintelligent as yourself, could all laugh together hysterically in never-ending, mindless stupidity.

So you threw up some isolated incidences, many of which are fairly easy to conceive as misunderstandings or unfortunate coincidences given the lack of information.
A nurse was asked to abide by the hospital dress code? RACISM!
Someone received an offensive mass-email that was cc’d the entire office? THERE HAS TO BE AN ULTERIOR MOTIVE!
Someone was laid off while workers with less seniority (and therefor smaller salaries) were kept? NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS IN A FREE COUNTRY!
Doctor who was without a green card was laid off and his nationality was mentioned as reason for the firing? Hmmm…
Someone working at a fast food restaurant was picked on and fired for something stupid? Yeah…that totally never happens.
My point is that many in the US are extremely sensitive to respecting the culture and customs of Arabs and other foreigners. Hell, half of my university’s engineering department was Muslim and the Islamic student association regularly held public gatherings and there was not one incident of racism reported while I was there. Mind you, this is in the “traditionally racist” deep South.
I would be willing to bet that there is more open racism, hate speech, and racial violence is committed against American Jews than against American Muslims.

I see your point, but it goes both ways. Those are cases of discrimination. Over 1,000,000 Christians a year are killed in Muslim nations. Calling might be discrimination, but Killing people for their religion is Murder.
By the way those incidents are almost a decade old. Have anything recent?

My point was, that if racism against Muslims was as rampant as you would have us believe, then surely at some point during my 4 years living in an area with a high concentration of both Muslims and generally bigotted rednecks, then SURELY I would have at least heard someone call someone else a raghead at some point, but I observed no such occurence.
You cited a fucking blog (one which the owner didn’t even bother to get his own domain name!) as a source. I’m not being arbitrary, that shit wouldn’t pass as a source in the 3rd grade. You offered up a bunch of isolated 10-year old incidences, many of which could very well have been coincidences or someone playing the race card because they fucked up and didn’t like the consequences.
