What difference does it make how close they let them get?
From a p.r. standpoint?Territorial waters are considered sovereign territory. You don’t think that makes a difference?
International law especially international maritime law is insanely complex and no one on these boards understands it. HOWEVER, there is precedent for intercepting blockade runners in international waters. Allies in WWII and others I have heard.
I’m sure in war time there is,because then a blockade is something different entirely. But that’s not the point.Read my post again. And saying something is insanely complex is no argument. What isn’t complex at all,is that if they had done the same thing in their territorial waters or damn near to them, the shit storm generated would have been nowhere near as big.Or do you think this is incorrect?
Did you read my post about what the law actually says? It doesn’t look like Israel did anything illegal.
I didn’t say they did.Have I at any point said what they did was wrong, illegal, immoral or anything else? What I have said, and continue to say,is that the Israelis were sucker punched into a p.r. nightmare and that I’m surprised they went for it in the way they did, whereas if they had conducted the operation within or close enough to their territorial waters, the fallout would have been minimal. What is certain is that there as are many opinions on the legality of the issue as there are hairs on a gorilla.Neither you,or I,or any other swinging dick in here can say with any certainty if it was or wasn’t.What does remain is a worldwide shit storm for the Israelis.Normally they don’t give a fuck about outside opinions, but this one is different. So they are also doubting their M.O. on this one.

^^hahahah that video was awesome. Especially the retard at the end who had no idea what he was talking about “this is about the uh uh uh you know whatever happened to them with the Germans” lol hahahahahaha. Protesting and not even knowing what he was protesting.

Israel is already dead as a Jewish state, it just doesn’t know it yet.
Demographics, alone, virtually guarantee an Arab majority within 50 years. And this isn’t counting any of the Palestinian territories, this is within Israel proper.

just goes to show that some basic knowledge should be required before posting an opinion.
Israel has never been a Jewish state - arabs even serve in the Knesset, for crying out loud.

If the state of israel, grants full citezenship rights (voteing, serving, est.) to the arabs that live there as the earlier poster claimed, they aren’t so much a jewish state, as a state where a lot of jews live.
Edit: beat me to it irish.

I wish it was legal to shoot those "activists.
No other group of people are so intolerant of others yet are still the first to claim intolerance if someone even looks at them funny. God damn Muslims.

No I agree. The shitstorm would be lessened.

yes, but Israel’s identity is as the only Jewish state in the world. Leaders within Israel are very afraid of the demographic trends that will displace the Jewish majority.

How would you know what the Leaders are very afraid of? Quit holding out on us if you know the leaders over there. If you are the son of a leader we need to know so we can get your Daddy on this website. He might allow us to do a special training session with the Israeli special forces.

hmmm - Israel’s identity is as the historical homeland of the Jewish people.
There are more Jews living worldwide that there are in Israel, but your technically correct because 76% of the population is ethnically Jewish.
Worried about demographic trends? I tis still projected to remain at mid-70’s percentage ethnically Jewish through 2030. . .
what are your sources for a dramatic change in the demographics that would cause the type of alarm you indicated?

As they should be, as we should be just as worried about the same trend in the U.S.

It might remain over 70% Jewish but the largest growing bloc of Jews in Israel are Orthodox Jews. Orthodox Jews in Israel are subsidized by the state and do not have to serve in the military for religious reasons.
