Isocaloric Diet

I have seen in various posts people talking about the Isocaloric diets. Can someone shed some light on this diet?

I believe that it was Dan Duchaine that created the term “isocaloric diet”. Some of his products offered from Designer were ISO products. It simply refers to a 33/33/33 ratio, but 40/30/30 is still considered isocaloric from what I have been told (Bill Roberts confirmed this to me). Similar to a zone macronutrient split basically.

The diet is detailed extensively in Dan Duchanes’ “Bodyopus” book. It is a 33/33/33 diet.
