I have no clue if this kind of excessive back rounding is fine when 12 year old girls do it, but if not we should really get that out to the father who seems to put out the lifts on Youtube.
I’m just really concerned for that gal.

No. its bad. It’s called a good morning squat. One of those mornings you are going to wake up hurt…
Now what?
Horrible, what is that rule for trainers,“do no harm!”
If anyone feels like they could get trough to the father, feel free to do so. I’ll try to comment right now.
That hurt just watching it…
Wow, first, that’s one strong chick…terrible form, or not.
Second, that’s some awful squatting.
JS
Yea, she’s terribly strong!
A - Yep, she’s crazy strong and seems to set world records on a pretty regular basis.
B - Her father has been coaching her, and her younger brother, that way for the last few years. It’s not going to change. He clearly thinks it’s acceptable.
C - It is undeniably high-risk form. At best, she’ll continue injury-free because she’s a freak (I mean that in the best way possible), maybe eventually changing things for even more progress. In the worst case scenario, she’ll injure herself into retirement and/or she’ll end up like Richard “Little Hercules” Sandrak.
The dad has responded to me in the comments, he seems to believe the form his daughter is using is safe.
Well, I do disagree, and I am going to tell him in a kind manner. I think that the girl is going to injure herself, which I would actually feel bad about.
A couple other people have also commented, I don’t know if it´s someone who read this post, but in that case, thank you!
Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
That hurt my eyes to watch. The only thing I can think of having a remote chance of working (but almost certainly won’t), would be to say that your concerned and ask him if there are any raw litters (maybe somebody pretty well known in RUM circles?), who he might be open to having a look at her form. If he is open at all to the idea, try to facilitate contact. I think most of these lifters are fairly accessible.
It’s his daughter and he probably won’t listen to anyone, but that is extremely high risk, especially as she gets older and the “gumbyness” of youth fades. It would be a shame for her to suffer an injury from such an easily avoidable cause.
I watched a couple of his videos and noticed he doesn’t squat the same way, I wonder why?
What a terrible disservice to do to any young athlete.
Ironically, she GMs the bar so much she doesn’t even hit depth on the last rep.
She’s strong. But that just makes you cringe to watch. Anyone look at any of her other videos? She keeps yelling when setting up. But doesn’t make a noise when she actually lifts. Lol.
He actually disabled the rating system and the ability to comment now.
That’s kind of sad.
Well, what can you do anyway…
Her deadlift isn’t much better either. He needs to take weight off the bar for her, and cue her lifts followed by a shit load of assistance work for her glutes/abductors/hamstrings/abs before she has her knees/back damaged to the point she can’t get them back to 100%.
not only is it unsafe, but also limiting her strength!
I don’t know, this just makes me sad. I feel like, she is a 12 year old girl whose family is pushing her way too hard. Maybe I’m just a bleeding ovary, but this sees like bad parenting. The rest of those videos made me super uncomfortable as well.
