Is This an Over-the-Top Stack?

Not in terms of amount of supplements but quanities.

My peri-workout nutrition is as follows:

Pre- 60g Dextrose, 30g whey blend
During- 60g Dextrose, 30g whey blend
Post- 60g Dextrose, 30g whey blend, 5g creatine

These figures are roughly based on Berardi’s reccomendations in Scrawny to Brawny and at over 1000 calories for the shakes, it means I don’t have to eat more whole food then I would on a non-workout day.

However, I’ve worked out my shakes are going to be lasting around 4-5 weeks on average, especially when including the use of scoops for breakfast/in recipes. So I was wondering when it comes to peri-workout what is everyones opinion with regards to if smaller portions etc would be a better idea.

I’m thinking I may have to just stick it out as ulflavoured whey is pretty cheap in bulk (£31/10lb) and Dextrose is of course relatively cheap. If I’m wasting money though someone speak up. Cheers

Well if your goal is Scrawny to Brawny then it looks alright. IF you’ve based it on JBs template, have you adjusted it for your weight?

looks fine to me, I think you should have around 50g protein post though.

Can’t remember the exact template, but his reccomendations were around 30-35g protein and 60g carb each stage for my lowly bodyweight, yes. So the conclusion here is perhaps- Yes this stack (or even slightly bigger) is indeed worth it and not going over the top or wasting powders? Cos if so thats the quickest concluded thread I’ve seen… and I like that. Kinda’ fancy working out price p/scoop and adding whey to a lot of my recipies… could be a good idea but it’s cheap cals I need the most.
