How Lame is My Stack?

I am 6 foot 1 inch and around 180 pounds. I have been lifting for years, however have really started taking it seriously the past 8 or so months. I lift every other day and have a sprint/ jump/ boxing program for the in between days.

I would like to get a little bigger maybe 10- 20 more pounds, and decrease my body fat percentage, or at least keep it the same.

Over the past 8 months I have gained around 15 lbs. while decreasing my body fat percentage. I have been relatively strict on my diet and have had great results.

Supplements I have tried:
C4 (pre- workout)
Monster Milk (post- workout)
BodyTech Whey Protein

Currently using N.O. Xplode for pre- workout and Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein for post workout. These are my two favorite supplements I have tried so far.

I am wondering if anybody has recommendations for better alternatives or if these are good choices, maybe something I should add?

I have been hearing a lot about BCAA’s, maybe I should add those.

I may try Indigo when I have the money for it however that wont be for a while as I just graduated college and am really broke haha.

Sorry about the novel guys, I’m such a noob.

Thanks in advance.

Supplements are called supplements for a reason. To Supplement your diet. If your maintaining the same weight add 500 calories. In 2 weeks note weight changes. If too little add more. If too much minus a few.

Edit: I see you’ve gained 15lbs and lost bf? Apparently your doing something right. Do that till it does not work.

x2. The only time you should use supplements is when real food / diet can’t make up something you need. For example, shooting for 400 grams of protein a day? Not the easiest thing to do, but having a couple scoops of protein shake helps out a lot. Additionally, mainly people use whey post workout because it absorbs quicker than do most whole foods.

Stuff like NO Xplode, caffeine, beta alinine, etc. typically all have their place as pre workout stimulants. Stuff like BCAA’s come into play when performing fasted cardio and trying to prevent muscle loss, among other things.

In short, don’t rely on any supplements or pills or shakes etc. to take you where you want to go if your diet isn’t already in check.

Get your diet right then throw in a pwo protein shake if you’re not getting enough protein. Stick to the basics starting out and throw in supplements as you become more knowledgeable about your body and what it needs to reach your goals.

Thanks a lot guys. I guess I have to focus a lot more on my diet. Over the past 8 months or so I have been eating healthy, I now realize I need to concentrate on my portions as well (especially whole food proteins).

Ill update with success/ failure. Thanks again.
