Is There a Place For Fancy “For The Gram” Exercises In Your Program?

I’m a “big basics” kinda guy. But from time to time I like to add an unconventional exercise here and there.

For example, before doing this rope row I did deadlifts, T-bar rows, trap bar shrugs, and cable upright rows.

It can either be for a specific purpose (like I’m doing in this video) or actually to keep training fun, which is an underestimated factor in training success.

And let’s be clear: there’s “unconventional” but still effective, and there’s “Instagram attention wh*re” unconventional.

Do you use such movements from time to time?
