Is One Plan Better? (Upper/Lower or Full Body)

Hey everyone I was hoping you all could answer a question for me. Once you have built up some muscle and want to cut, what approach would be better to keep most of the muscle I have gained. 4x a week upper/lower body split or 3x a week fullbody workouts.

what kind of training are you used to?

I would pick whichever is going to allow me to keep moving the most weight. For me it would be upper/lower as I havent done a full body routine in awhile and find them more taxing energy wise, and energy would allready be an issue with reduced calories.

You could also argue for full body seeing as your only lifting 3 days a week you get more time to recover. Again with the reduced calories recovery is reduced so an extra day off may be a big help.

Either. which ever you will do and stick to and do with intensity. AS well use which ever works better for you while not cutting. both are good.

well actually I am used to both because all I have ever done are fullbody and upper/lower splits. So I am comfortable with both.

Well choose which ever worked better for you.

Stick to what works for you and manage intensity and volume according to your caloric intake and cardio.

It depends, can you do heavy upper body lifts after heavy lower body lifts or vice versa without it affecting each other?

I may be imagining this, but might this have been discussed at least once before?

The A-hole reply aside, you are going to find camps loyal to either approach that are not accepting to the other side.
