haha, I read this column this morning and that cracked me up.
“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes ?? and I see many of them in the audience here today ?? our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

You know, I started this thread because Obama really is the ‘genius’ who will actually cause what I expect is about to happen, to happen.
But its like delaying and putting off a colonoscopy — it’s going to happen no matter what you do. One things for sure: over the next few years, the world will be very interesting.
McCain may have delayed everything for a year or two, as he has WAAAAYYYY more leadership ability than the naif from Illinois. But no amount of leadership can deal with what’s about to happen to all of us. You can’t fight mathematics.
Wow! Go see the movie, if you dare.
You can’t fight mathematics, but you can cut your losses at any time. Phase out social security and medicare NOW and we may hit bottom sooner, but it won’t be near as low. Aside from those two issues, our current debt is still at a manageable level. Inexcuseable, but manageable.
I agree. Only there is no calamity coming. I remember back at the end of 1999, people were going nuts preparing for the same type of end-of-the-world bullshit.
Still waiting on that.
When we get out of Iraq, that will be the bottom, and everything will turn around quite rapidly after that.

Honestly, if I´d thought that I could beat just enough sense into you, I´d be standing on your porch.
Meaning, just enough to allow you to allow for some room for error and provide for your family.
RJ, you can take losing some money, you could not take letting your family suffer for your ignorance.
Do something, or a stranger will seriously hurt you, right there in BF, Texas.

Please. You sound like my aunt, who filled her and my uncle’s garage with canned goods, bottled water, and MRE’s. She begged us to do something, or I would have to watch my wife and children suffer starting 01/01/2000.
She still has all that shit in her garage.
If the US goes down - the rest of the world will go with us.
I have land, guns, and a paid-for home. IF it goes the way you say, I’m sitting a shitload better than 90% of the rest of the world.

The man spent 5 years in a prisoner of war camp. This undoubtedly took it’s toll on how he looks. Granted he’ll be 72 before election day and that’s not young. But after seeing his mother who is in her mid 90’s do a TV commercial, I know that there is longevity in those McCain genes.
But…no he’ll never look as good as Obama. But then again Obama is a socialist and who the hell wants that? Oh yea you do… I almost forgot you’re from Canada.

The attacks on American soil since 9/11 number how many?

I hate this argument about as much as I hate Obama.
Allow to rephrase your question: The attacks on American soil before 9/11 number how many?
Not being attacked by people living in caves halfway across the world isn’t an accomplishment. People need to stop acting like 9/11 was an act of war. It was a criminal act. And just like criminals rarely get away with huge bank heists, terrorists will rarely get away with huge attacks.
A bank not being robbed for four years after it was robbed once is not necessarily a good bank.

I know he likes to use cables. I saw him in the gym about 4 years ago and he didn’t leave the cable area. It was at the Wisconsin Athletic Club in downtown Milwaukee. I didn’t pay him any attention at first and thought it was just some guy that looked like him. Then, later I overhead people talking to him and realized it actually was him.
