JESUS! what are you a dairy farmer? i mean i like milk myself, but damn!
Just a hugely intense fan of the stuff:)
OK so I found non-homogenized milk at Whole Foods, they sell it all the time, but its still pasteurized. On Thursdays, they sell raw milk, but its $4.39 for a half gallon! Damn! Is the non-homogenized stuff worth buying even though its pasteurized or should I just pay the money for the raw??

Homogenized is just a blend from a bunch of different cows. I don’t think that matters either way. If you want raw milk for the enzymes etc you need to get the unpasteurized stuff.

Man, looks like milk has done a number on some of you guys.
I drink nearly a gallon a day, sometimes a gallon a day. I experience no gas or shit storms. 1%, 2%, whole, skim, mmmmmm. God I love milk.
I am with you. I don’t drink it like I did but I love it. No problems here.
x3. NEVER had any problems that I’ve read others having or I was supposed to have from drinking milk. Never could understand why I shouldn’t drink just because Joe Blow has a problem.
Look, milk, especially raw milk, is a fine food, if you can tolerate it. I am sensitive to milk, so I can’t. But more power to you, if you can. Check out the folks over at the Weston Price Foundation on the question of raw milk. It’s a great food. Here’s an article from Weston Price Foundation on the benefits of milk:

Well thanks to realmilk.com (which I’d never heard of before), I have now found 2 raw milk sources within 20 minutes of where I’m at…love NH.
Just out of curiosity, what do you guys find it usually sells for? So far on this thread I’ve seen from $4-8 per half gallon…
In the area where Im at (Kansas), it retails anywhere from $4.50 to $7 a gallon depending on the source.

Have you ever considered or tried Kefir? (A fermented milk product which is extremely healthy, I consider it in the league of “superfoods” in terms of all the benefits it provides)

Raw Milk Review:
For the first time ever, yesterday I tried raw dairy: raw milk and raw cream. This stuff is the real deal!
In all my life, I can not tolerate drinking milk or milk products well because of the tremendous amounts of phlegm produced in the back of of my throat and also mucus.
The first thing I did yesterday was pour myself a glass of raw milk and raw cream to test my reactions.
Let me say right of the bat, with the raw milk and raw cream there is no phlegm, no drainage whatsoever. As someone used to these reactions for 30 years with regular milk, I was shocked.
Second of all, the taste is phenomenal. It is sweeter and is actually much thinner than regular store bought pateurized milk. Even the cream was thinner. And it did not “coat” my glass and my mouth like regular milk products do.
If you can’t tolerate milk or haven’t tried raw milk yet, I strongly suggest you do.
As a big protein eater/AD style, I will be using it raw half and half extensively along with my raw cream in my protein shakes along with my raw eggs.
i agree w/everyone here on just how good raw milk really is. i also feel damn lucky that the farm i go to sells it for $6/gal…you drive up on the farm gate and if you pass inspection of the blue tick and his sidekick the basset hound,
you get to step around a few chickens and through the barn door where you help yourself to coolers full of milk, eggs, butter, pork and beef. write down what you took and and make your own change out of the cash box and give a wave to whoever is zipping by via tractor or quaddy
and you leave thinking man this how it should be. get there around five and you’ll see all the cows backing in to get milked…cleanest milking barn and happiest looking cows i ever saw.

Welcome to the club, now you understand the reality that RAW MILK is so superior in every conceivable way that that shat they call pastuerized milk should be thrown down the gutter right where it belongs. RAW MILKER for LIFE!
Wrong? Nothing’s wrong, that’s a great price for raw milk! I was expressing my appreciation for the beauty of it!
oh like a tear in your eye, got it. i know people who tug on the corner of their eye as if to say “my eye” which means they think you’re full of shit.
it’s crazy how much wholefoods charges for the stuff…i guess i can understand it being more expensive as it has special handing and shipping requirements but 9 bucks for a half gallon is just nuts.
