Well I suffer from a little insulin resistance and I have been thinking to start using some metformin (1000-2000mg), in addition to the albuterol I am taking, to help me suppress appetite (anecdotal reports), lose fat faster and to keep my ketosis for longer, achieve it faster, and improve me insulin resistance.
Thoughts please.
I used to work for a diabetic medical supply company and we had to complete hours of education regarding diabetes, insulin, oral meds prescribed for diabetes, etc. I wouldnt mess with you pancreas, that shit can mess you up bad. If you take too much test or not enough it isnt nearly as dangerous as taking too much metformin or getting your insulin levels way out of wack, that shit can kill you. Just my 2 cents but stay away from that shit. Tweak you diet take some anavar or something to get leaner.
Cocaine
You sound like you have a plan. What’s your question.

Albuterol can cause insulin resistance so it’s probably not the best idea.

Metformin works though 2000mg is quite a high dose. It can also cause muscle loss if used long term.
you promised me hash Marlind
I have used it on and off for about a year. Usually 3 months at a time with a six week break. I use it conjunction with a low carb diet, and to take me back to ketosis quickly after a carb up. Usually, I take an 850mg 20 mins b4 breakfast, and then worked up to a second one before dinner on higher carb days.
The stuff really aids in the battle with glucose, and insulin sensitivity, and you do lose weight/BF.
I went from a fasting 95 to a fasting 81. When you stop, it seems that you can eat carbs (fast and slow) without a huge backlash. As far as danger, metformin is one of the safest drugs prescribed and taken worldwide, and it has virtually no sides. *The big caution is lactic acidosis with alcohol consumption, but even the data on that is slim. Chances are if you are eating right, training hard and using gear, you aren’t drinking alcohol regularly anyway.
In the last few months I have changed my thinking of ketogenic / low carb diets based on the two articles by
TC LUOMA titled A NEW WAY TO EAT, and A NEW WAY TWO EAT, PART 2. Check them out, and good luck with the Met.
