Is HOT-ROX Worth It?

Hey guys so Im wondering about this whole supplement thing. Last summer I tried out a fat burner with some nice results. I pretty much mirrored everything and I noticed I leaned out a lot. That was my first attempt at cutting. My diet was pretty much on point more or less (I know some of you will attack the ‘more or less’ but my diet was pretty much low/no carbs and high protein.

I didnt really pay much attention to ratios or fat content or anything, plus I was eating in a college dining hall. For example, some days I could eat sloppy joe( without the bun) and broccoli)

In addition to the diet I was working out almost everyday, following the workouts in the Arnolds Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding. Im not sure how much the fat bunrer worked or how much of it was the diet or exercise. I am about to start cutting again and although the last fat burner worked I want the best supplement, something that will curb my appetitite and stimulate maximal fat loss.

With that in mind, I thinking about ordering HOT-ROX or Lipo 6 but Im not sure if its worth it. Im pretty lean now and Im sure I could reach my goals with just dieting (maybe V-Diet) and exercise. What are some of your thoughts?

How do you know if its actually the supplements accelerating fat loss or if its just a placebo effect? Also, if you do think that these supplements really do accelerate fat loss, by how much? If Im losing 1-2lbs per week, would something like HOT-ROX or Lipo 6 up the fat loss to 4-5lbs per week?

If that is the case then I would say these supplements are very useful but if its only an extra lb then I would argue that strict dieting and intense exercise is more than efficient. Just let me know your thoughts.

Bottom Line: Is HOT-ROX or any other supplement worth it or not? If so why and please provide empirical data from personal experience (if possible).

Stats:
5’9/5’10
172 lbs
12-15% Body Fat (thats just from mirroring it, I’ve never actually measured, it could be less though but def. not over 15% cause Im pretty cut, sorry, no camera or I would post pics)

Btw, sorry if this is incoherent, I have a million other things to do and its kind of like a stream of conscious type thing.

As I understand it, the great thing about HOT-ROX is that it provides anabolic support for very low-calorie diets, meaning you can lower your kcals more than you would be able to otherwise.

Or rather, you can drop kcals and not see a loss of performance in the gym, you can stay awake during class/work, etc. Thus, the primary appeal to me is that you can drop fat faster than you normally would through diet/exercise.

You’d lose the same amount of fat through diet and exercise, but supplementing helps you do it faster (think of it as a catalyst if you have any sort of chemistry background).

However, the first thing I would do is find a diet (I’ve been seing good success with the T-Dawg diet: All Articles - T NATION) and follow it closely. I mean really keep track of your food intake - www.fitday.com has a great (free) food log.

Yes, food logs are a pain, but they can mean the difference between failure and success. If good diet adherence and exercise doesn’t work (or you wanna lose it now, dammit!), then spring for HOT-ROX.

Thanks for the reply Long. I understand what youre saying and I pretty much having dieting down to a T, its just a matter of sticking to it.

I’ve done the food logs and actually went on a very clean diet towards the beginning of the summer and really leaned out. The thing is, I got complacent once I leaned out (and got a girlfriend, sad but true) so I need to get back into the swing of things again.

Here’s my problem with what you said, and I dont mean to be argumentative. You states “If good diet adherence and exercise doesn’t work (or you wanna lose it now, dammit!), then spring for HOT-ROX” and I dont think thats how it works.

From what I’ve been reading, told, if you just take a supplement w/o dieting and exercise then it does nothing, or shows a minimal effect at best.

My question was, how much does it actually “supplement”? Im pretty sure its not something you can just take and lose fat, but if it is then thats pretty sweet!

I didn’t find it useful for fat loss but enjoyed the energy boost from the caffeine. but that is just one guys opinion and i’m already in pretty good shape. It is difficult to lose fat regardless for me right now. Plenty of people sing HOT-ROX’s praises however.

To me, sticking to a diet works best, with or with out pills.

If you attempt a diet and fuck it up with pizzas, cheeseburgers and the like, HOT-ROX won’t do much for you anyways.
