I’m thinking of quitting, so I might be able to help you out. The commute might be a bit much for you though.

Wellington to Wisconsin? Probably a bit much, yes.

Top ten reasons for being a loner.

1/ The remote is aways mine, I watch what I want.
2/ I eat only what I want
3/ I answer to no one
4/ I do things when I’m good and ready
5/ My comfort zone is off the scale
6/ The music I listen to is always awesome
7/ Workouts are always on time and never cut short
8/ Arguments are non existent
9/ Stress is optional
10/If I don’t like it I don’t have to do it.

I have always enjoyed being alone. I do enjoy being around people I just don’t like having to interact with them. The few close friends I do have are pretty much loners as well. Which is probably why we get along, we all enjoy the same life style.

I’m definitely a loner. I spend most of my time doing music, lifting, reading, and other random crap that intersts me. I don’t feel the need to be around people all the time. I value people when there is a real connection or common ground based on something significant (most of my friends I have through music and playing in bands).

Whenever I’m around lots of people for a long time I feel like I’m being distracted from my own goals. Sometimes I feel a little selfish because of this, but I can’t take too much of people.

Some of the people here claim they are loners and don’t need social interaction; yet, they come on here trying to make friends over the internet.

Step outside of your comfort zones once in awhile.

I have no myspace, no ipod and no cell phone. I talk to the people at work…thats it. I have not been to a party or a bar in 2 years.

am I a loner? or just a loser haha

How is having an ipod related to being a loner?

Man, there is something epically creepy about that.

I am also very introverted for the most part. Like everyone else has said, I really enjoy genuine friendships and exchange, but the frill of “people” drains me after a while. Even hanging out with close friends, eventually, I have to have some solo time to recharge.

Like perfectionism, strong introspectiveness has it’s advantages and disadvantages, especially in the eyes of others. Most people think I’m an arrogant dick just because I don’t want to chat about drivel for 45 minute spurts throughout the day!

I have recently had my eyes fucking blasted open, however, on the topic of training with a few really dedicated lifters. I’d never experienced that brotherhood sort of thing before. Awesome.

x2.

I have an iPod to drown out people. No, I don’t think I’m lifting too much, go back to your third helping of cheesecake.

Ha, i can totally agree with that. I did just over 4 years behind a bar and it completly changed my ideas of going out and hitting up the clubs and the bars. Not saying that i don’t go out, just saying that i avoid most places like the plague if possible.

Also, no.1 reason not to be a loner. Women.

Besides, when you’ve spent the last 30 years of your life in Montana, Idaho, and Alaska, you can’t exactly enjoy being around a lot of folks.

That looks awesome!

I’ll come visit one day (I’ll walk up the driveway so you don’t complain).

Maybe he would rather be alone with his thoughts than listen to others through their music.

until i found a truly best friend, i preferred being alone most of the time too.

Nice post, i’ve always said im the best dj in the world.

I wouldnt use the word loner. I do spend the majority of my time alone, reading, training eating,(the stuff that fuels my happiness) however i enjoy the company of others very much so. Areas where i like people, training with hardcore gym buddies, when i wanna go out, and then just if i wanna
hang out and have a laugh… Then its back to me time… 70% me 30% others
