Is a 400 Pound Deadlift Attainable for Most Women?

Congrats!!! That’s awesome.

If we are saying that 400 for the ladies is about like 600 lbs for the men, then the question of most is a tough one.

The question is: attainable for most women. Later on natty was added as a qualification.

I would say most means anything over 50%. We are going to assume when saying attainable that these women are giving this goal their best effort for long periods of time (like 10 years). My gut feeling is about 50% +/- 25% of them would accomplish the goal.

I think if we could test this out, it would be a great thing to bet on.

I’ve not been around enough female lifters to really form an opinion on that. The gal I mentioned is obviously a high-level lifter, but how much of that is genetic lottery vs doing the right things to increase your pull is not known to me.

She trained very, very well for PL. Super-consistent and 100 percent focused on performance in the sport of powerlifting. I know that much at least. I’m guessing diet and recovery were on-point more often than not as well. She also started young, which improves the odds quite a bit over, say, a 40 year-old woman who throws herself into powerlifting for the first time with hobbyist-level effort and execution.

My gut tells me it is quite attainable, and I would never suggest to any beginning lifter that it is out-of-reach or a performance ceiling of any kind.

Those crossfit women are in the ballpark of 400 and they are all clean. And they are doing this after completing other events. So IMO, an athletic woman who trained for it could pull 400 clean.

Lots of women??

Yep, I can’t count them all on my fingers.

LOL!

I read that roid use among crossfit competitors both male and females is not uncommon. And there are things that don’t count as “steroids” but are still chemical enhancements. But I guess im wondering if its realistic for the average woman of a reasonable age.

I don’t know, in a way its like saying most men can get a 600ish pound deadlift and how common is that? There are lots of 6 ft something 200 pound HS and college football players that struggle with 500 pounds

The video in the first post of the tall girl deadlifting while listening to Pantera got me a little worked up LOL.

I don’t have a type, but I am certainly not opposed to muscular women (not the point that they are competing in open bodybuilding). It is kinda a turn on.

The picture I posted is damn hot. Not opposed to that at all.

Are we simping now boys?

190k male lifters, 25353 have pulled 600 in competition.

30k have pulled 584.2 or higher.

15.7% of men that have competed have pulled nearly 600lbs.

This is only counting the sub culture of us morons that actually powerlift. Do you have any idea how farmers/mechanics/random job dude who are freakishly strong?

But based on the HS comment I can tell this is just you trying to seek validation for your women shaming.

A HS kid shouldn’t be pulling 600. Some do, and that’s just nutty.

I have a feeling that on average those who compete in powerlifting, weightlifting, strongman and even bodybuilding have better than average genetics for strength. People gravitate towards what they are good at in general. Obviously some are below average, but IMO on average competitors are doing so because they think they have at least pretty good lifts.

Idk what that is but I guarantee I’m what ever it is :joy: tiny little beta guy or what ever the kids are calling it these days.

Why’s that?

I would likely be doing this if female. I don’t think you even have to be traditionally good looking to make a lot of money. One of my wife’s friends does this (I would give her about a 3/10 on looks) and makes a good amount for a 1-2 hour a week side hustle. I guess she has a dick rating service. $20 and she will give your dick a rating.

I don’t think there is much money to be made as a man?
