You can think that, but more often than not, you’d be incorrect.

im not saying that someone who only does 70x11(like on a volume routine) won’t necessarily have ~16 inch arms, but if 2 people have the same lifts they will be around the same size…
again, not even close to being right. Sure it COULD happen, but it’s not guaranteed at all. MAYBE if they were brothers, but even then, it’s not a certainty. Correlation vs Cause and Effect at work here.
Take a look at the latest issue of Powerlifting USA and check the #s that the lightweight guys are easily putting up.

There is no such thing as a good lift by bodybuilding standards. Guys don’t get in their posing trunks, go up on stage, and lift weights in front of the judges. They go up on stage and show off how their bodies look. It doesn’t matter what weights and reps they use as long as it makes their bodies look better. I repeat, bodybuilding is about how you look, not how much you lift.
Ive never seen a small dude benching 400 for 10 reps, or squatting 500 for 10 reps

x2
The only thing worse than a noob is a noob who doesn’t know he’s a noob. Qeynos is like the Bruce Willis character in The Sixth Sense - blissfully going through life without realizing the awful truth.
strangemeadow is just butthurt because I explained his definition of plate was wrong
he should be more thankful that I corrected him
anyway, I never claimed not to be a noob, I did say I’ve only been lifting 18 months

I didn’t even see the post you’re referring to. A lot of people are turned off because of your attitude. You were banned from another site because you were a dick and you’re off to a similar start here.
You’re missing the point when people suggest squats and deadlifts when you ask for advice on arms. You’re not at the point where you should be worrying too much about curls. Sure, squats, deadlifts, pullups, dips, rows, etc. don’t stimulate the biceps like a curl does, but they do build a hell of a body. Who looks better, the guy that does all the movements like the ones I mentioned or the guy that does curls every time he goes to the gym? We have all seen THAT guy in the gym. He’s the one that makes little progress month after month, year after year.
lol “not at the point”
so after lifting for several years you magically reach a point where training all the bodyparts that aren’t big 3 becomes relevant.
also where did I say I only do bicep curls as my routine
sure powerlifters are somewhat smaller, but they don’t train in that rep range, they got to those #'s in a lower rep range… so not really relevant

Brb making fun of people’s physique while have an avi that shows small fatcep

Did you read any of Stu’s other comments?
yes, he is wrong though
2 people who train as bodybuilders and have similar lifts will be similar sized
i am done arguing with the rest of the weak little trolls in this thread, stay mirin my 90x11 bicep curls, stay mirin
Seriously guy, you have a pro bodybuilder, at least one guy with an exercise phys. degree, a couple of trainers, and probably 100 years of lifting experience telling you one thing and you come back saying “no, this is what I think.” You are wrong, you are small, you’re not willing to listen, and you act like a dick. Either be willing to listen to people with more experience, education, and results than you or go away.
