People have gone blind coloring their eyes. I don’t think risk vs reward is fully understood in many of those cases.

That is because they are rich and money trumps muscles any day in the big cities.
When I was much younger, I used to believe that. I don’t anymore. I know a number of attractive women whose husbands are neither Adonises nor tycoons, but regular guys with regular jobs.
Could this be bias due to your preferences? I tend to think an average attractiveness woman is more attractive than an average attractiveness man. Like you are uprating women and downrating men because you are attracted to women and not to men? Studies have been done around this, and it is not typical for couples to be mismatched on attractiveness to a large degree (groups of people gave these individuals average scores).
I hear people say this a lot (about attractive women with unattractive men), but I don’t think it is as common as people think. Also, studies show that intelligence in men raises their attractiveness to women, but the reverse isn’t true to the same degree. That would be something we as men would have a hard time seeing (because we don’t account for it as much) as part of a total attractiveness.
Well it is to me, but I’m an outlier with a >150 IQ and a total of 8 years in academic studies (how can you say this without it sounding like a pretentious flex). And I know several men who are attracted to intelligence as well
I guess what I am saying is, when it comes down to brass tacks, that women seem to on average value it more than men. Not that men in general don’t value it.

I saw that as well and thought, how the fuck is he going to look anything like a Batman if he doesn’t bulk up his tiny body. I look massive compared to twilight man and I’m not massive.
I might get shot down for this one but I really liked Ben Aflick as Batman. He came across like an old washed up Batman that’s a bit fed up and I really thought that worked well.
Although Christian Bale looked super bench in his films…maybe I should download a ‘how to massive like Christian bale’ workout from the internet and follow it for 2 weeks before giving up on it…hmm maybe

My point isn’t that ugly guys can easily get attractive women (though I somehow managed to marry a beautiful woman who’s way out of my league, so there’s an example); I’m saying that you don’t have to be wealthy or built like a competitive bodybuilder to attract a desirable woman. The regular guys I’m talking about may be decent-looking, though as a straight guy, it’s hard for me to tell. I’m just saying they don’t look markedly different from the vast majority of men, and are not particularly wealthy. So if young guys are sitting around thinking “She’d go out with me if I drove a Lamborghini,” they’re probably off-base. And if she would go out with you just because of your car, she’s not someone you should want to day anyway.
