General Update
Been literally years since I have done one of these, but I was looking over my log and I enjoy seeing where I have come from so I am hoping to be more consistent with the log again.
I am still in the Army as an Infantryman. I won’t go into huge details of where I am or my exact position.
This past week I have tested myself a bit:
Current maxes (April 2021)
Back Squat - 110kg
Deadlift conventional - 150kg
Benchpress - 85kg
OH Press - 55kg
Pullups max - 14
Push-ups max - 69
2.4 run - 10:21
Age - 29
Bodyweight - 75kg
Bodyfat - moderately low maybe 14%
Nothing exceptional, but I am happy that lifts are finally starting to increase for the 1st time since joining the Defence Force.
I did about 4months of Wendler’s BBB end of last year and start of this year and I just finished a month of CT’s Superhero Workout (more explosive training).
I am currently doing a mix of 531 for main lifts with some explosive and supplemental lifts as secondary supersets.
In general I’m feeling quiet fit and strong, no injuries or niggles and still enjoying getting under the bar.
Priorities at the moment (in order)
- Stay fit and strong enough to do my job.
- Injury prevention
- Build and continue to enjoy a life with my lovely gf.
- Continue to build strength on main lifts
- 1.5 plate OH press
- 2 plate bench
- 3 plate squat
- 4 plate deadlift
Oh, also I got a home gym setup so that is a win! No more waiting for the squat rack ![]()
