Yeah jeez thanks haha
I both love and hate the irony that goes into martial arts. But I really love to see the movement and art that goes into dominating someone. Bit like the art of squatting a thousand pounds!
Did some stationary bike and bag work as a warmup due to the rain.
Jumped on the bench press and pumped out 60kg x 10 supersetted with 10 chin-ups for 2 sets. Pretty happy my bench strength hasn’t completely vanished even though I rarely do it anymore. Fuck I have some wild form on it though!
Pad work with Coach is so tough after benching. Just no punching power.
Clinching… Got thrown around a bit. Nothing too crazy though. Pretty easy session which I was happy for as I have been limping all week after the sparring. Still can’t bend my left leg even close to 90degrees.
Weighed myself for the 1st time in months. Got 72.8kg. Pretty happy I haven’t lost a shit ton of weight considering my eating has been all over the place and super inconsistent. Right now I’m happy to maintain weight, maintain strength, maintain muscle and just continue to build my aerobic capacity and fighting skillz.
Out of all the Aussies on the site, I’m probably the one that wanted to get the biggest and fattest when I was younger. I still do want to get to a solid 90kg at some stage. Just not in the near future…
Mark, we all know that secretly you want to become a superheavyweight (don’t tell me that’s not what you’re aiming for with all that bodybuilding and weight gaining stuff)
At most 242 lbs @danteism, I don’t think I could pack more than that onto my frame and stay lean-ish without a LOT of pharma. Even 220 lbs will be a fair push.
I am about 172cm or 5ft 8 in old money. I hit a pretty solid 94kg when I was 30. Always wanted to be 200lb+. These days I’m about 82kg and don’t eat or train enough to be 90+ again. Maybe in a few years when the kids are bigger I will go full bulk again !!!
That is pretty solid! I never wanted to be ripped and agile, I always wanted to go against my biology and be a big, staunch, beer gut, thick looking bastard hahaha but when I train, I train for attributes, not aesthetics. Turns out the attributes I want go against the physique I want
I know exactly what you mean, I was always all cock and ribs growing up and hat wanted to be big and solid but didn’t want a gut. I wasn’t ripped at that weight but i could see my abs so wasn’t a fat git either. I don’t naturally hold weight, when I stop weights
I always lose weight, even when my diet it shite.!!!
I had a really good few days catching up with family that I haven’t seen for up to a year. Talked lots of shit, shot some rifles, drank plenty of beer and played games most of the day. I really despise the lead up to Xmas, but the day(s) itself is usually pretty good. It almost makes it worth it!
