IPF powerlifter, sr 93kg class

That seems like a long time in the gym to me! I’m usually in and out of the gym in 45 minutes, maybe I’m just lazy though haha

45 minutes is just enough for the main lift!
I spend much time going up to the training weight… Or else i will tear myself up, always need stretching and many sets going up
But don’t get me wrong, i train with high intensity anyway!

A2 Rowing in hammer press 7x10
B1 Leg ex. 2x15
B2 Hyper ex. 2x15
B3 Calves 2x20

Starting to get hard not to hold the bar with my hands, so i split up the assist work to have more time and energy for squatting.
Hope i can do regular squat and goodmornings in two weeks. Looking forward to it!

Felt ok!

Front squat 10x3 @120kg
2x leg extension, leg curl, calves, hyper extension and abs.

Nice workout. Starting to feel comfortable in the front squat  Gonna switch from 2-1-2 split to 1-1-1 this last round.

Nice work man!

12.04.11

1h walking

13.04.11

Front squat 7x5 @115kg
2x leg ext. leg curl, calves and abs.

Getting heavy not holding the bar, but still staying with the planned sessions. Only two workouts left with Smolov front squat

15.04.11

Front squat 8x4 @120kg
1 legged leg press 2x10 @200kg
2x calves and abs

Supposed to finish up with a 10x3 workout, but i have to train tomorrow instead of sunday… I’m to close to failure to do this tommorow already, so think i’m gonna do another kind of front squat then.
Felt good today, but had to work hard getting through the session not holding the bar.

Looking forward to the video!

Gonna have a workout with my club on thursday, so it will be posted during the weekend i guess

16.04.11

Should do my last smolov sesseion for 10x3 @125kg, but i won’t be able to train tomorrow. Doms has kicked in and it was too risky to do it today. So i decided to do max reps at 100kg in 20 minutes instead, to finish off this round of front squatting

Front squat 100kg - 20 minutes. Got a total of 36 reps. Felt sore and tired in my legs though
2x leg ext, leg curl, calves and abs.

Gonna have some days rest now before moving on to back squat and some easy benching

19.04.11

Have had a couple of easy cardio-sessions in my rest days. Today we removed the bandage/plaster on the hand, and in the evening i was ready to try some back squat and easy bench press. The hand was really swollen, stiff and weak, so i had to use wristwrap and be extremely careful…

Squat w/stop 6x6 @110kg
Bench press 6x6 @100kg (difficult to get through but i made it!)
Goodmorning, leg ext, leg curl, calves

Looking forward to the session tomorrow, hope it will be better

Sweet! Must be awesome to be able to use your hand again!

Yeah it’s really awesome  But still i have to be extremely careful because of the terrible weakness in my wrist  and the hand is still swollen as yesterday. But, i guess it will be much better for every day

20.04.11

A1 Squat w/stop 7x5 @115kg
A2 Bench press 7x5 @ 105kg

Even though i trained the movements in supersets, i had to take really long rests between the sets so the hand didn’t explode and i was able to use ut for another set. It was still as difficult as yesterday :frowning: Today i followed my rule about training for maximum 1,5h, which i did not do yesterday…

Me front squatting with broken fingers, so not holdning the bar. In the video you see some sets from 6x6 @110kg, 7x5 @115kg and 8x4 @120kg.
The other guys are in my powerlifting team, except from the big, strong squatter at the end, who is a friend but lifts for another club (he has a 1000kg total).
Many rookies and talents in the video, so i’m looking forward to develop them further

Nice video! Looks like some good training, would love to have a serious training partner!

Thanks!
Yeah that’s important… Mostly we train alone or in couples, so we rarely meet up like this. But when i move back to my home city (this was filmed in my home town gym) things will get better, and i hope we can train more like a team.
This is a reason for us to lift raw, not many in the team uses suits because we much alone…

22.04.11

A1 Squat w/stop 8x4 @120kg
A2 Bench press 8x4 @110kg
B1 Seated rowing w/hold 3x8
B2 Abs 3x

Wohoo, i was able to do some rowing today, using straps! I love back training, deadlift and rowing are favourites  My hand is still swollen and weak, but at least i don’t look like Hellboy now…
Still a bit sore from the front squat that i finished last week, but the weights are easy in the squat. Hope to keep some deadlift strength doing paused squats… Feels good for deads…
