Into the Deep End

…So I explain what we are going to do, and where, and I KNOW DUDES HEAR ME…again I go to my locker for my training log. I walk out to see dude#1, moving a bench right into the path I’d cleared, and dude #2 waving at the girls with a back-handed “go F**k off” kinda move…Oh yeah, the girls? MY SISTER AND A BEST FRIEND OF MINE !!! I was HOT. I mean quickly pissed all the way off…hang on

Dont leave us hanging on too long.

…Anyway, I told dude to “go ahead and move that bench out of the way, cause this is where we’re going to work” Remember hearing me say that about 2 minutes ago??? Other dude was on the phone, so I waved him out of my way and said “see, it seems a bit rude doesn’t it?” And then the thruster/farmer walk fun began…never said another word to each other. Man I was pissed for awhile after that, kept my trainees’ in line though! Ah hell, every pot boils over sometime I guess. Could’ve been worse.

Good for you. I cant stand it when some guy with tattoos every where comes in and puts the radio on some trashcan bangn station, cranks it as load as it will go, looks around and dares anyone to say something(Mostly the women). Goes over loads up the bar for his BIG bench. And proceeds to get all 10 reps with 135!

Theres a guy in the gym that does that kinda thing. Thus far Ive been raping up(packing my bag)when he comes in. Im waiting for the day when Im not finished. I dont think he will like it when I walk over and change it right back.

Man Im getting fired up just thinking bout it. I just cant stand a bully.

Good work, Z! Sounds like you handled it well.

LMAO! Yeah, I’m continually amazed at the (low) level of courtesy there is in the gym.

Straps, log book, drink, and db’s next to sweaty bench and shirt draped over it is usually a tried-and-true universal indicator that “this bench is being used”.

No.

Especially the sweaty shirt. Ain’t nobody goin’ near that!

Maybe I’m just to low-carb right now? Makes me cranky. My girls were giving my grief about it (in their loving way) cause they know I’m not usually like that. I WAS HOT PEOPLE !!!

My friend (who I’m training) wants to lose “20 lbs. in two months”, leading up to going home to visit family. That gives us 16 sessions…

I sure you know but diet will be the driving factor for that time frame. Good luck!

One perk for working out at home is I’m the only jerk in the place. Great lifting Z-man. Nice of you to help a friend out with his training. Whenever I go low carb after 3-4 days my wife tries to shove a twinkie in my mouth because I get so short tempered.

10x10 and defending the gym nice work.

first great week in the gym how is soreness or doms with 10x10
I was thinking those front squats must have hurt.
second good work with the gym jerks…

I recently had to physically move some kids
bench db’s ect when they where “spotting” go too close to where I was dead lifting , and then OH squatting.

I usually could give a rats ass, but the space thing is just so rude.

kmc

Whats a “monther”? Idiot. hang on…

I’m just all over the place…dam that global warming…dam fronts squats too.

The training hurts. I’d been pretty lazy before starting the 10x10 thing, not exactly a great plan. And I’ve tried some moves that probably are not the best for that format (weighted hypers? Bad choice).
Thanks for the thoughts everyone, and I promise to train others better than I’m training myself !

Good.

Now, treat yourself as well as you treat others.

Still lazy after all these years…isn’t that a song? It’s not Spring Fever…some kinda something else…Need to get back on track. Where have I read THAT before??

Total body work. 4.23.09

Squats, dips, chins, RDL, cable crunch/ab wheel, curl w/OHP, bent rows…about a 5x6or8 on everything. Not heavy, with short rest, for about an hour.

And yes, I was leaving piles of rust on the floor.

Nice way to train it all
kmc

And I thought high volume was 5X5. Damn that’s intense. Something unusual should happen. Interested to see just what.

You have to realize, I can’t REMEMBER the last time I trained! I’ve been that bad. Ten hours later, my whole upper-body is tight, lower feels pretty good. Just fired things up a bit.

EDIT: That should’ve read 1:15 on time.

Training myself plus two others later today. I think I’ll go first…10x10 Deads plus, just to be an ass (only to myself)!

“This might hurt a little…”

4.24.09…Deads ect.

Warmups: power shrug
hang clean
OH press -4x4each@90

Deads: 5x5@225 30 sec. rest (strict)
3minute break.
5x5@225 60-75 sec. rest.
Sat on a stool in between sets, had to! Just this part is harder than I’ve worked in awhile. Sad but true. 6-8mins. to set up the next round…

Dips : 5x5@ +45 alternating with…(60sec. rest).

Pushpress: 3x5@135 then 4and…a…half…only got 41/2 reps on the forth set. I was done. Shoulders are wrecked…5th set was 15@bar. I’m fine with that.
Cable crunch/abwheel 4x8each and…print.
Now I have to crush my lower body saturday, that’s just great…
