Hey Guys/Gals -
I was approached last week about consulting on the design on an exercise class for an alternative, holistic medicine group. I've talked with the program coordinator and know a fair amount of details about what is involved, but the whole process is something that I did not want to get involved with.
The program includes a holistic approach to medicine and is geared towards people with chronic disease, people wanting to lose weight, and your general all around hippie. Most participants are middle aged females. The diet is raw vegan. Wheatgrass enemas and implants are used also. Finally, there are many differnt classes that the participants can get involved in. 2 of these are exercise classes and that is hopefully where one of you might fit in.
The exercise class needs to be low impact and low intensity to accomodate the various stages of functionality the participants have. The focus of the class is to stimulate the lymphatic system.
So, if you are interested in potentially consulting with this group, send me an email: norcrossjason@aol.com. I know this sounds crazy, but these people are serious and need some help. I realize that none of us would really consider this a healthy approach, but we might have a chance to make a small impact by designing this class. The group is in the San Diego area in California, but being local is only a benefit to them and not a necessity as this position should only require one visit and some communication after that. This is a paid position and is negotiable. Once again, email me if you are interested.
