This one takes some explaining. This is my leg. I developed lower limb compartment syndrome during another surgery. The biggest risk factor for this complication is obesity. This was the first time my weight had made an impact on my health. I keep this picture because it reminds me that there are consequences. My scar I get used to seeing, or I don’t look at it, but this picture reminds me of the pain that I brought myself.
Dude, I suffer from compartment syndrome too (in both legs). It affects me everyday, and even the simplest of walks bring a numbing pain. I’ve had surgery on both legs to release the pressure, but I think they’ve built up again and there really isn’t much I can do other than to restrict the distances I walk.
How do you live with yours?
To be honest, I don’t notice it anymore. In my right leg, the test to check the pressure actually relieved enough pressure to make it usable. In my left, the fasciotomy relieved 99% of the pressure and the skin graft holds it together. Since then, consistent training and focus on healthy supplements (Curcumin and fish oil) have been the best solutions. I am lucky that there’s been no recurrence of compartment syndrome, and I feel for you.
When you had the surgery, how long did they leave the wound open? Mine was open for probably a month before the skin graft. It was risky, but it also did a whole heck of a lot of good. I had pain post-surgery (I’ve had three for skin graft reduction) for about a month, but no longer than that. Good luck and I hope you overcome.
T NATION i am dissapoint. There have got to be more images that inspire you.

Sorry to see that your mind is so weak that you can only cast insults. Maybe this picture will help you break the chains of mediocrity!

That is all you can ask of him and that is what I have tried to do.â??Harry S Truman
