This one takes some explaining. This is my leg. I developed lower limb compartment syndrome during another surgery. The biggest risk factor for this complication is obesity. This was the first time my weight had made an impact on my health. I keep this picture because it reminds me that there are consequences. My scar I get used to seeing, or I don’t look at it, but this picture reminds me of the pain that I brought myself.
