Injury update:
Knee is still sore pretty sore. Groin, however, is feeling much better. Some dull soreness but that’s about it. Recovery is at least two days ahead of schedule. Should be squatting and pulling heavy in a week. Neck’s a little stiff.
The next meet will be more familiar and twice as awesome buddy, great starting numbers for squat and bench, strong work buddy work through the injuries slowly and come back hungry for your next meet.
I’m running about the same programming starting next week I go a nasty wrist injury from my comp and training this saturday it hurt to flip a burger today lol. Heal up and don’t rush it man
Reflecting on the meet, I had fun and I know I got hurt and all, but man … my numbers fucking sucked. WAY less than what I wanted. Here’s to getting incomprehensibly strong.
Sorry to hear the meet didn’t go as well as you hoped. Sounds like it was still a good time and a learning experience, and those numbers definitely don’t SUCK even if they weren’t what you were looking for. Way to aim high though- if you weren’t already going for incomprehensibly strong then I look forward to seeing where the hell you end up now lol.

I only brought a few bars, but didn’t eat them. I ate before and after the meet.
I’m going to use 205 & 210 (rough 90%) as my training maxes for strict press and push press. I’ll hit the required reps for strict press and shoot for rep PRs on push press, and during the deload week, I’ll do the opposite (rep PRs for strict press and required reps for push press).
