So yes there will be more training. I need to get my work capacity up and peak for the meet. On another note, I’ve decided to stop pulls two weeks out based on what I’ve seen today.

I think I would’ve got 570 if I didn’t hesitate in my setup. Definitely feel 600 in me.

What are you looking to total in your meet?

My minimums put me at 1445. My maximums put me at 1565. I would be happy with a simple 1400+ though.

Sore hammies. Yesterday was a definite success, and I’ll continue this approach to pulling for some time and see what happens. Left knee’s a little sore from soloing the 385 squat though. Benching/upper body later.

Just some active recovery/activation stuff. Pushups, jumps, etc.

Goals for the next two weeks are 535x3+ squat and 570-580+x1 deadlift.

Numbers sucked to say the least. I lifted alone today because I didn’t have a ride. I manged to get mild heat exhaustion which sapped a good deal of energy from me, but I’m better now. I need to get a lot better at my training prep.

I need WAY stronger triceps and a WAY stronger back.

I agree. I’ll be keeping them in.

Still not sure what to do today. I’m thinking back and maybe something else.

I’ve always found that chest supported rows make it too hard to breathe and I can never get anything out of them.
