Now I just strengthen my midrange and lockout.
I’ve heard that a bench doesn’t really die mid-range, and that if it does than it’s probably either technique or being weak off of the chest and not being able to power it through. Steve Pulcinella said that. I guess it’s either off chest or lockout? Food for thought lol. Str0ng stuff.
I get what you’re saying. I’m really strong off the chest. My problem is the lockout but I feel that improving my midrange strength as well will aid me to power through my lockout more easily.

Great PRs! Training seems very solid. Must have your technique pretty much down to be hitting those sort of numbers.
just about. galvanizing my tech will take a bit more time, but it’s getting there. it’ll never be perfect though.
6 plates is pretty sweet for t-bars but I know you have more in you (since your like 278x stronger then me)! i miss em, might have to throw them in again soon

I wish. I was struggling just to keep bent over. Thanks though.
CG bench
135x10
185x9
245x5
285x4
315x4 PR holy crap this was easy I had maybe 2-3 more in me
no feet (I do these with my feet in the air and my legs crossed so there is absolutely no leg drive or bridging)
225x10 PR
255x6 PR
285x4 PR
Rolling DB extensions
did a set with 40s it’ll take another session or two to get used to but I think I’ll keep these in for a while
This was my fastest session in a really long time. I was in and out in ~20 minutes. I didn’t need much rest in between my bench sets at all. Close grip has always worked for me in the past and adding the sans feet variation seems to be magnifying the training effect.
Your bench is seriously strong. 285 feet in the air/315 for reps cg is sick. how much are you weighing again? you should do a PL meet just to clean up the place in your age cat.

My sets without feet are also close grip. Last I weighed myself a month ago, the digital scale read 218. I don’t know if I’m heavier or lighter now though. I want to do one. I just need to fix my damn dead. I’ve got a feeling that it’s simply because I haven’t been doing them barefoot though. Driving more through my heels and what not. I’ll probably add a belt to my heavier sets from now on until my abs get stronger.

With those lifts and your age I assumed you “had to be” more then 218. Very sick, hugely motivational for me.
I’m 5’8 if that helps any.
