yes. Could be because you’re…AWESOME!!!

Something like that.

9 miles is out of my league. way to go!

Nurturing children and lifting heavy ass weight should probably not be approached from the same mind space. I understand what you mean. If you were using this as a reg excuse I’d say you needed your but kicked. On the other hand your mentionned your energy was dropping before it happened so you get a pass

Haha thanks guys, it feels pretty awesome being able to do that without dying, I must say!

N, trust me it’s not an excuse. It actually pissed me off having to end it. That’s alright though, there’s always next time. That’s what I tell myself to calm down, and then I’m alright.

Weighed in this morning, just to see what I was since eating more “normally” last week, and came in at 200.8. Woohoo!

Planning on making it to a real (commercial) gym this week with my brother in law (soon to be ex, I guess) which means I’ll have a spotter to bench with! I’ll get to push it and see what I got without fear of killing myself. Should be fun.

9 miles in one run? That’s more than most airwingers do in year! lol
The runner’s high from those distances is pretty cool. After that long, I’ll bet you had a shit-ton of endorphins flowing.

as soon as it warms up, I need to start running again.

Kick some ass on bench. I’m expecting no less that 350 from you.

Damnit devildog, no pressure right? haha, that’d be like a 75lb PR!

Yeah I felt great after that run and you’re right about the airwing comment. I was in the “6 miles a year” club, only running for the pft every six months.

Semper Fi!

Well, still at 19.5 pullups in 1 set. Got to 10 today before hanging for a few seconds, then again with the doubles and singles until I couldn’t pull past a half rep. I think if I could push past 10 to maybe 12 or 14 without having to stop for a second, I’d be able to knock through 20. I just get so damn winded from the short burst, that I need to recover before pulling again. The set today took me 60 seconds. Still waiting on my brother to send me the video (from his phone, as I left my camera at home) to see how quickly I got through the first “micro-set”, but it was probably like 12-15 seconds, with the rest of the time coming from hanging for 10 seconds, 2 pullups, hang another 10, 2 more…etc.

More conditioning (Prowler) will help I’m sure, as would being lighter, and even…stronger!

Can’t wait for this Half to be over with, and recovered from, so that I can get back to smashing heavy weights!

“Smashing heavy weights”

Edgy like~

Did I miss something, or is someone in the family getting divorced?

I may or may not have covered this in here, but yeah, my wife’s sister is leaving her husband, but he’s pretty much the only “friend” I got around here so we’re still hanging out, climbing, etc. Shitty deal for him, and I feel bad, but I can’t totally defend him and bash on his (ex)wife to my wife…since it’s her sister and she defends her.

Oh well.

Taking it easy this week. I want to lift, but I don’t want to be sore or risk injury of any kind before Sunday. Next week though, it’s on like Donkey Kong, and I can’t freaking wait. I’m actually getting anxious about wanting to go lift. Maybe I should work on the gym-side wall this week.

Keep killing it, all of you, because I’m coming for each and every one of you SOON!

Well, made it to a “real” gym last night. Met up with the bro-in-law and did a little damage. We were pretty rushed, as he had to take off in about 40 minutes, so we got to work quick.

Bench
135x10
185x5
205x5
*Felt good, wanted to keep going, but no time.

Dips
BWx20/15/6
*Much shorter rest periods make them harder (no shit!)

Chins
BWx6/5/6
*First set, hands were normal spacing, second set wide, third set close grip

Pinwheel Curls
40s x 10 (easy)
45s x 10 (not as easy, but felt good)
50s x 10 (Brutal, solid, and all around kick ass. 10#'s heavier than I have at home so it was nice to see what I could do)

Skull Crushers
55 x 20 x 2 (For pumpz)

Walked out of the feeling fantastic and pumped, it was great. The gym was packed but what surprised me was the amount of large dudes in there. Seriously, there must have been 10-15 guys that were big, and I only saw 1 person doing 1/8th squats in the smith machine, it was a lady, and it was awesome.

Feeling a slight trace of the stomach thing the wife and oldest daughter had. I’m hoping it stays mild and I live through it. Now’s not the time for this crap, seriously. I’d like to be able to do a short, easy run tonight with a lot of stretching/rolling afterwards, as long as I’m not puking

oh no, hope you don’t get the crud.

your doing a good thing for your wife(running) you secretly enjoy it though

The weights will be waiting for you.

HUSH!

Ok, it’s really not THAT bad, and I might actually keep some short (5k’s) in on occasion just to be able to run, and as a way to get some steady state cardio in when it’s nice out. I won’t say I “enjoy” the distance stuff though, and I’m sure come Sunday, I’m going to be wishing I was dead.

New phone with a much better camera

Have fun running!
And then run back to the weights!

aw, my upper body isn’t getting bulky at all
wish my gym had a prowler… enjoyed watching you work that. hope you managed to throw off the bugs.

Tickets to the Gun show!

Nice work on those pullups man.

How tight does that prowler pack up? Would it fit in a normal sedan trunk?

Makin progress brother, keep it up

Thanks Mim, tomorrow is the day, and I can’t wait to get it knocked out.

Alexus, thanks for watching, there’ll be plenty more prowler action soon.

Racer, it packs up pretty small. It comes apart at the T and the uprights come out. With guns like these, you’d have thought I was an artillery MOS!

Thanks Dixie, I’m tryin bro.

Well, tomorrow is the big day. Actually looking forward to kicking this half marathon in the sack and getting back to where I feel I belong. Stay tuned…
