just wanted to say hi! hehe, and your squat rack inspiered me to make my own rack-deadlift-rack:p since my gym didn’t have one. I think the 4" by 6" nailed and glyed together should be able to hold any weight i’ll ever lift off it.

Well, the “fitness center” at the hotel had 2 treadmills and 1 recumbent bike. That’s it. So I didn’t get anything done other than 45 minutes of cardio yesterday. I’m achin to lift something tonight, I think squats are up, should be interesting ![]()

I love using the bands for hijacks, they are not expensive, and are great for training bench and for warming up before training.

Finally got around to squatting, although it wasn’t until about 10pm! After tonight, I think I’ll keep on with the 5/3/1 for the main lifts for now, and then try Coan’s Squat Routine when my squat fails me again.
On with the (little bit of) work:

230x3 *Decided to only do 3, and then work up a couple of singles to try and redeem myself after last week

265x1 PR (This had been a “calculated max” a while back, but never actually hit it. Felt good.

N - Thanks. I don’t get enough sleep anyway, so I can’t say that lifting late has any negative effects on my sleep. I can lift, shower, and go to bed if I want to. Usually when I lift that late I “cool down” by playing with the videos and logging stuff here, and when that’s all done, I go to bed.
